    Favorite Nintendo Franchise?

    What's your favorite Nintendo franchise?

(Please explain your choice in your post; don't just say "Kirby /10chars".)

Mario has taught me way too much. Especially about the pain of falling down large/endless holes.

    "Zelda /10chars".

Skelington grew up on Legend of Zelda. The very first game he has ever played was Zelda 1, and Ganon was the first boss he has ever beaten. He has received the least amount of disappointment from that series, much less than other's he has played. He enjoys the lore, loves the characters, absolutely adores the music, and can lose himself quickly in each of the games.

Zelda. Mario and Pokemon would be a close second and third. The rest I don't feel nearly as strong about.

Mario and Pokemon came close, but I chose Mario just because I believe that SM64 was (and still is) the best game I've ever played.

The Mario Franchise. From the Mario Bros/Duck Hunt combo cartridge on the NES, to the Super Mario Allstars and Super Mario World that came packsges with my first Super Nintendo, to Super Mario 64. Also enjoyed Mario Party, Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, Super Smash Bros, Super Mario Sunshine, and even Dr Mario. Spent hours and hours playing with music and animations on Mario Paint (the one with the little mouse and pad). Gave Super Mario RPG a try for the SNES, but didn't get too much into that one. Nowadays I much prefer Zelda, but I grew up on Mario.

Pokemon defined my elementary school life and is probably what started gaming for me now that I think about it. I remember more about playing pokemon with friends and trading cards during lunch and recess in elementary school then what I actually did in elementary school. I remember the school I went ended up banning everything pokemon. They would have tons of gameboys piled up in the office everyday and parents had to pick them up if you wanted them back. Was in 2nd grade 97-98 so basically the beginning of the pokemon era.

The game, the cards, the show, the movies. Gotta go with pokemon. Good times.

The Mother series without a doubt, I love it so much, pretty much the standard I place other turn based RPGs/quirky plot games to, greatest games I have ever played and I would kill in its glorious name.

After that probably the Zelda series and then Wario's games followed probably by Mario, specifically the Mario RPG sub series. I also really like F-Zero.

Pokemon imo. One of the best games ever made.

As much as I love Link he doesn't hold a candle to Mario.

Mario sadly, my childhood. Zelda gets second for me. Both really great though.

I'll have to go with Pokémon by heart, but Mario by logic. We're told to vote with the heart, so Pokémon got my poll choice. I loved that franchise waaaay too much and used to trade cards and Gameboy Pokémon with friends. Mario was awesome, too, though and is to this date probably the most successfull franchise Nintendo has. But 'Favorite' is Pokémon.

(Technically my favourite is LoZ but I'll say Metroid to change the pofsts a little bit and its my second).

I love the idea of exploring space, the deadness of it, finding old ruins, working with Chozo architecture, abandoned space stations and finding out about Samus' past at the most unexpected moments.

The Metroid Prime series is one of my favourite game series of all time, the gameplay is incredible and has some of the best music and, in my opinion, best boss fights to ever be put into a video game.

I guess I'm the first voted for Kirby... =< I prefer Kirby over Mario honestly.
But Zelda and Pokemon and other franchises are also great. (e.g. Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, Metriod Prime, Golden Sun, Wario, Donkey Kong, etc)
The advantage of the dreamer is that he never has to face the chains of reality.

My favorite? Out of the list, Zelda. I enjoyed Mario, Pokemon, and Donkey Kong. Star Fox had it's ups and downs, and none of the others really had my interest. To be true to my roots it would be Zelda, started with it and had more fun with more of the games than any others (I was a sword/fantasy nut even as a little kid, which got me interested in the series from the NES up to the cube, lost interest in Nintendo with the Wii).

Why the hell do you speak in 3rd person? I see you around on here all the time...You having a small group of followers I think has finally pushed you off the deep end or something.
