    ._.

not sure how much that would be in Dollars... and Munich is 2nd expensiviest (lol not sure if that word exists) in Germany.
Second most expensive. And 800 Euro is like $1040 a month. That's below the poverty line in the US, I believe.

That's 10k per MONTH. For that, I better be driving a porsche or ferrari.

That 4 bedroom apartment? Where I'm living now, I could rent a 6 bedroom house for under $2000/month. If you're willing to live with a couple roommates, great deal.

I understand what you're saying. It's the appeal of Manhattan that inflates the housing prices. But since I can't afford it, there is nothing else to do besides picking another city to live. No shame in that. I don't know about Houston, but Florida sure is warm.

Looked it up. They were nice houses, but the point was that was really ALL that was there. The place was Erlangen, Germany.

Houston is one of the few places in the northern hemisphere that is always as warm and HUMID as Florida, if not more so.

edit: having spent a month in China, in August, I'd put it right up there at the same level of uncomfortably too humid.

No, there's no shame in that. I wouldn't recommend Houston unless you want to work in oil and gas or medical. It's not a great cultural city, and you really have to know the right places to go in order for it to be enjoyable. Plus, you can't do almost anything without a car. If you like suburbs though, and don't mind chain stores/restaurants, Houston has some of the best suburbs in the country, dollar for dollar. There's a reason it's the 4th biggest city in the country, and it's not ALL oil and gas.

Yes, different Halle. That's where I initially thought it was, before I learned that Halle is the "Smith" of town names in Germany.
