*NCsoft's MMO sequel, Guild Wars 2 will be coming to consoles Guild Wars Insider has discovered while listening to an earnings conference call from the firm, where comments were made pertaining to a console version. It'll reportedly be coming sometime after the PC client for the game goes live.

There'll also be beta testing getting underway on the fantasy game around March-April time according to the Guild Wars fan site. "In March and April there will be large-scale testing for GW2; depending on results of testing a finalised commercialisation schedule will be determined. [The] console version will be launched separately from [the] PC [version] at a later date."

So, there you have it. Guild Wars 2 will be coming to consoles, with NCsoft considering "seasonality factors" to decide on "final commercialisation" on both GW2 and Blade & Soul.

so i was wanting to let everyone know i myself would like to see this i have always said that consoles need a good mmo.
Please post ur oppion on this topic i would like this to stay open or even become the offical console topic for gw2..

It is still a bit of a rumor but i trust 360achievements.org and what they said about it i like.

Edit: it is a rumor but a comment from anet themself's i am just wanting to hear peoples idea's on it champions online was post to be on xbox and other mmo's but that didn't happen only mmo's on it right now are FF11 Phantasy star U. and Monster hunter freedom*Japan only* i think thats the monster hunter name anyway.

Very interesting, personally I think it would be a little awkward having all necessary controls on a controller.

I hope it works out for them, and if they do release it on console, will definitely check it out and if it's smoother than me using my keyboard and mouse then I'll switch over.

I can say one thing about this thread in specific. 360achievements is worse at journalism than massively is, calling the game "NCsoft's MMO sequel" when they are nothing more than a distributor. Not to mention they cite Massively as the source, who had the story incorrect to begin with.
