    What are you expecting from WvWvW after Launch

    Personaly im expecting hopefully large scale battles between hundreds or thousands of players >.> imo it doesent seem to much to look forward to after everything gw2 is turning out to be arenanet are doing everything right "IMO"

    only two things atm that worry me

    1. Can there server's Handle such massive battles.

    2. Will it lag during the battles.

    hundreds of thousands? I believe the latest estimate is 2k per battle, which is 666 per server. I assume Anet will likely adjust the pop cap to make WvW enjoyable on mid range PCs.

    I heard 300 players per map. That's a total of 1200 players total. You'll probably see 50-100 player groups commonly, and 200~ a little bit rarer.

    I'm expecting epicness. Pure, unadulterated epeening God-invoking epicness.
    Glorious victories, tragic defeats, desperate sorties, one on one battles where you forget to breathe, mass attacks, sneak attacks, night attacks, infiltrations (aka hopefully launching asura thieves over walls via catapult).
    Just...epicness.

    It's objective based. People just mindlessly killing each other for a 2 week period would get old.

    Yes, maximum, not 7/7, also map is pretty big :O

    It's still being tweaked upwards. That is from (I think) Colin some time ago.
    It will be 666x3.

    On the numbers, Mike said today:
    Map Population Cap

    Some folks were curious if we would start a new WvW instance if a map fills up. Due to how the game is structured, this is not really something we can do.

    Once we hit a population cap on a WvW map, we will have to let players either queue up to get into that map once space allows or select another map to fight in. We hate queues as much as you do, but they’re an unfortunate necessity for WvW, so we‘ll be focusing on trying to get our map population cap as high as possible before release to try and limit how often this will occur. But no matter how high the cap is, it’s just not possible to completely eliminate the possibility of a map filling up, so there is a chance of encountering a queue if you play on a server that tends to be very active in WvW or during times of high WvW population.

    One important thing to note, though: one team will not be able to lock other teams out by “flooding” a map. You do not count against another team’s population cap.

    A lot of lag when everyone rushes mid, and a LOT of confusion.

    I'll be learning as much as I can about it before launch, learn key points and how to gain the most supply.
