Human all the way me thinks. They fit the part best, sylvari a good second. Though I like playing the 'endangered' race, which is humans in this game for once. Plus GW2 might be the only game that I will play a male for, has the right body build and not those bulky idiotic ones most mmo's have. Though my Thief will always be a female, leather+subtle=sexy
Meh. I always play males because I tend to place myself into the perspective of the character.
I hope you haven't forgotten my role in this little story. I'm the leading man. You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.
If you give in to your impulses in this world, the price is that it changes your personality in the real world. The player and character are one and the same.

I always play a female and I always make my toon look like (a hotter version of) me.
Not sure why, but I always do that.
I usually make my characters all boys for some reason, haha. I normally don't like the female character models in most games... dunno why. Occasionally I'll make a female, but I don't want it looking anything like me. :P
i do that too, but i never had problems with placing myself into the perspective of all kinds of (rp-wise) different characters.
i like to give them some depth and variety too, but at their core, almost all my characters are nice and kind and gentle and selfless and just generally 'light'^^

I can't imagine an even more boring Human biography story, than being a Human raised as a noble, and blessed by Dwayna.

Seems so generic and cliche to me based on first appearance.

that actually made me laugh xD
obviously that's what all girls on the internet do, duh! :P
same!I wish they would allow us to download just the character customization and make our toons ahead of time. I'm going to need at least 2-3 hours.
here you can at least think about the story stuff already, though.
it might not possibly be because you enjoy looking at some good looking, built, strong boyz now, could it? ^_^
me too
i guess most of my actual personality traits are what people (including myself, to some extend) still tend to at least subconciously think of as feminine, like beeing gentle, caring, patient, calm, cheery, etc.
wheter or not that holds true for the majority of females irl is of course another topic :I
you should watch more anime, then!^^Well, my characters are also nice and kind... but I like the "cute girl with a big gun - killing bad guys".
i used to do that too, but honestly, i feel like that "dark past, but still good" has become even more of a stereotype than just plain simply "white knight".
i think i could come up with the basics of a relatively interesting background story for pretty much any character there.
