Has any of us heard anything in regards to a GTX 790?

It's funny cuz it would have a 500w TDP.

And would also become part of my future GTX790 + i7 4770K + Maximus IV Impact mini-ITX dream build.

I don't think that thing would have 500W tdp, if we can consider a gtx 690 is maxing at 170W.

Remember, TDP ≠ power draw. The GTX 690's TDP is actually 300W per specifications.

that's gonna be some fun + gonna make a giveaway for whoever guesses the closest for my 1,2V max overclock. (since i'll be able to get two free splinter cell keys)
I'm guessing 1350 MHz core with boost and 1700 memory while still stable in 3dmark and heaven.

How come after 3 years nvidia still hasn't fixed the mulit-monitor downclocking (or should i say, lack thereof) issue. My 670 keeps running 915mhz constantly with 2 monitors. And the nvidia inspector "multi-display power saving" feature is shit, because it fails to recognize the application 50% of the time. Forcing you to alt-tab and disable it.

What does that have to do with it? It's just that nvidia uses 3d clocks on multi-display setups to "reduce flicker" or something. But they don't offer us the choice of risking this supposed flicker (i haven't seen it when using multi display saver) for 50W less wattage in idle.

Majesticii, that's kind of an unnecessary benefit for me that I'll get once I move back to single monitor.

I'm eyeing moving back to a single monitor setup, but it *has* to be a 1440p 27".

    Or 4k of course. ^_^

In other news, I have decided to wait to see the supposedly awesome AMD next gen cards before buying new graphics. I just hope they wont be too expensive, but knowing Aus pricing they'll be well above $6-700. Or I could scope out the pricing while Im here and maybe even get a graphics card for cheaper.

Edit: Well shit, $521 AUD for a gtx660.

I went back to single monitor, but then my Nexus 7 became my pseudo 2nd screen since I ended up hooking it up via Line in and running Netflix on it. @_@

I am finally going to restart my computer because I keep on seeing it sorta refreshing the image on my ASUS audio center and it's annoying. =| Weird stuff.

    But still, nearly 25 days!

Your power company will be happy.

Anyway, i've noticed that my Haswell CPU isn't clocking down on idle. It stays on 3.8ghz. I've checked it in CPU-Z, Realtemp, and task manager, all reporting the same CPU speed. I've enabled every power saving feature and speedstep is enabled. I don't understand.

meh, nevermind. Windows was on high-performance.

I used to be a bit skeptical about Gigabyte motherboards due to bad experience a few years back, but not anymore. Got myself a new build yesterday sporting their G1. Sniper 5. So far, I'm very impressed with it. Will be posting pictures and specifications later on the PC pictures thread.
