Geez, Deltrus' desk is a total disaster...

When I move, I'll finally have two monitors again! Problem is one of them will be my 32" TV...

It's not that I can't hold a camera steady, it's my phone. >_> And there isn't enough light down here I guess for it to get a nice clear photo.

So I'm thinking of possibly just dropping back down to a single monitor to make things cleaner, what say my computer guru geek friends? That picture above shows when I was only using one monitor, the extra monitor down by my legs was actually being used to display infoz from the new computer I had built for a friend.

I'm always using 2 monitors at work (impossible to get the job done with 1) but when I tried it at home, it simply didn't...work out : /
I found I was never using the 2nd monitor because you still have to alt+tab out of games to get the mouse cursor to the monitor. So definitely single monitor all the way for me

If you play the game in windowed mode, then you don't have to alt-tab. =X

In a first person shooter you better need to alt tab, otherwise the cursor would go flying off into the other screen everytime you turned around.
The only advantage is you can watch videos or read shit while simultaneously keeping an eye on game loading times or whatever. I can see it working well for WoW or D3, neither of which I play too much.

I guess that's true - I don't play FPS games though. The only time fps matters to me is when it refers to my frames per second.

The only times is consider offering insight against dual screens is gpu temp and space. Shouldn't matter elsewhere

I love dual screens!

Some applications such as video editors and compositing programs make huge use of dual monitors (tools on one monitor and the timeline + video on second) and other times I just find it nifty having one web browser on one screen while dabbling with other stuff on the other. Or farming in some stupid mmo while watching a sitcom on monitor no 2

A tip for nvidia-users is to try using nvidiainspector's feature "multi-display power saver" in order to get the card to clock down to P12 clocks while in idle.

I'd love to go triple screen or ref monitor but there's absolutely no space left whatsoever on my desk. :P

Part of the reason single screen is so nice, least for me, is because my two monitors hardly fit on this desk. One monitor looks so much cleaner.

I have to vent about this,
I ordered my new build from amazon about a week ago, and I've been checking on the order everyday, eagerly awaiting it (since I can't do stuff on my damn school laptop). However, today when I was going to check I couldn't log into my account, so I checked my email and BEHOLD, amazon has "successfully" cancelled my order because it suspected that this was a third-party purchase from my account without my permission.
So yeah, I re-ordered everything and now I'm stuck waiting for it another week probably and I am very sad :<

Forgot to mention that xD, well I just moved to a different country and I guess that since my account only had been accessed from one IP up until now, this triggered some security function.

If you access your account from another country and buy big-ticket items it is likely that it triggers some kind of safe-guard (a bit like triggering a security question or password reset if you log onto WoW from a different country) that cancels the purchases to stop fraud.
