Oh my GOD. You know my post earlier of how I said something was going *squeak* in my system every now and then and I thought my HDD was about to die, so I frantically backed up everything on another HDD?
Well it turns out the squeaking is being caused by my MOUSE (Logi G400). Once in a while, the clicking actions causes the one of the buttons to make a squeaking sound.
Yes, it's a mouse that squeaks. It's a motherfucking PUN.
Well atleast my stuff is backed up now

My radeons brings all the boys to the yard, and they're like, mines better than yours.
So what you're saying is when you say "that's graphics card is really hot"... you don't mean what most people would think you do

it actually used to be pretty good, until it was butchered by pro-corporate/anti-regulation lobbying
and unfortunately, most american voters are more concerned with the religious values of their chicken to care, and big business pays a lot of money to keep it out of the view of the american public, a good example is the fact that most americans had no idea about SOPA until google brought it up, even though nearly everyone in the tech field knew about it months prior
Yes, in theory it is great. It just doesn't work... anymore.
The problem is, like with anything, everything works as long as you respect the system. Once you bring fanatics into things, as well as all the bribing and corruption (I mean no offense to any American out there, but if you take money from a company, or a lobby, it is a bribe), it just.. doesn't work.
It wouldn't hurt if you also had different parties to actually vote on, that aren't nigh identical, with the difference being that one guy is more religious than the other.
Either way, I will refrain from that discussion onwards, since politics and religion never leads anywhere good. Nor does shrimp.
My Xonar Essence shipped yesterday. :3:3
red panda red panda red panda!
Neat-o, let us know the difference it makes in sound
Also be sure to try it with the equalizer (with your own settings) vs no equalizer. I'm convinced that I can't be the only person who found the Xonar STX's default settings (no equalizer) sounded like absolute shit, everything was horribly muddy. As soon as I kicked in my "U"-shaped equalizer settings (high bass, low mids, high highs) heaven greeted my ears.
Looks a bit like this (but in the STX control panel):
Also does anyone know of a fan controller that allows you to turn off the fans completely, not just min-max? A computer only needs 1-2 fans going on slow when it's at idle to maintain the bare minimum airflow, the rest can be safely turned off. It will be a truly silent computer, completely inaudible unless you stick your ear to it.
Then when you do something intensive, turn on the fans as neccessary

I've started to move away from a mostly U-shaped equalizer, but to default.
I got annoyed at the, ironically, muddy noise eventually, and figured less bass is less tiring.
This with the DX though.
Nvm remove this please P:
