well at least it's set before the single player games (except Redguard) so it hopefully shouldn't interfere with the development of more single player titles too much. would be a shame to see one of the few single player franchises left turned into yet another multiplayer

As long as they don't start retconning from the MMO into the singleplayer games, and we still get the bug-filled, dungeon-crawling, mod-heavy, numeric skill-focused RPG we know and love offline, I'm happy^^

Also, I'll wait for offficial sources. I dare not hope, in case it turns out to be bullshite! :O

I don't see the harm in this unless they stop making the single player games. If this will prevent a Elder Scrolls 6 then i don't want it. It may be a good game though, so we will see.

Its on a couple other sites too. Being shown off at E3 this year, probably, and it is set in the second age so it won't involve the people we have already met in any way, except maybe the Diadra Lords.

No everyone hates something for no reason, that is just how the world works. I personally have loved all the Elder Scrolls games there have been.

OT: I hope they will still make singleplayer games... an MMO is fine, but lets not ruin a good single player series with another SWTOR.

Because at some point, I think that playing single player games without any interaction with online friends gets old very quickly (this is the case for me).

OnT: IF they can pull this off, it can be amazing. Hopefully they will model the whole world (at least the one done in ESc: Arena).

Bethesda scale bugs and balancing in a MMO enviroment? I think I'll pass until I hear some player feedback on how it actually runs before I get excited for this.

balancing isnt important in singleplayer games and im sure they can make a good mmo too

It's all about escapism, if I want to be social I'll call a friend. The only issue with singleplayers is longevity but even that is subjective.

I doubt a clunky 1st person hack 'n slash mouse-smashing style works well in an mmo.

Oh lawds the gameplay overhaul to make this work. But they could set it in some cool times, like when the Dwarfs were at war with the Dark Elf's.

modders have already kind of turned skyrim into an MMO and it's a work in progress.

if there was an MMO that felt like a TES game, it'd blow anything else out of the water. If bethesda puts the effort into it that they put into their games, they'll screw it up because the modding community MAKES the TES

the dwarves are dark elves, they were at war with others

sorry but the dwemer were not the dark elves, it was another race of elves all together.
