Are they talking about these for the beholders or is it something else? in the post it was said they were orbs, but this is the only thing i could think of.

Yes they are. I suppose GC called them "orbs" based on their central basic shape.

Well I don't know about the Warlock pet, but that does look like a beholder from D&D.

It's more nostalgia man it's like how the new thundercat's show is lame compared to the old one even thou the old one is pretty lame after I watched it again. It's just one of those things you grew up on I guess. Originally Posted by fizzbob

They're a little unnerving when viewed from behind, if only due to the model having what looks to be like a rear hole.

The level 75 talent labeled them as Observers. I actually liked that name, Orb is just stupid.

Yes, that's the Beholder model that's currently being used.
This is the Fel Imp.
This is the Voidlord.
This is the Shivan.
This is the Wrathguard. (Replacement for Felguard.)
This is the Abyssal.
And I think this is the Terrorguard, but I forgot to actually summon one.
I'm not 100% sure on the coloration for any of them except the Abyssal. (It's been a really long week, and my brain is.. dead.) >< Also, the Wrathguard is holding weapons.
