Yea, I can see that BUT he saved the genetic potential to create more uninhibited blood benders, which struck me as odd.

Edit: that and vampires are kind of popular, so It would not suprise me if he was doing that anyhow.

Past memories. His dad passed it on to him. I assume it's genetic because it's rare. Maybe that's too much of a Naruto way of thinking on that but the DAD did pass to the SON the skill so, *shrug*

I think also we will see benders that can bend 2 elements. Could blood bending be earth (Minerals in the body) and water (the liquid in the body). ONLY THE AVATAR can master all FOUR, but why not an non avatar mastering two, that exist in harmony?
