    Need advice on upgrading

    Hi there

    My current build is:

    i7 920 stock
    GB EX58-UD3R
    6 GB DDR3 Kingston
    XFX HD 6870
    1tb WD Caviar Black
    800w Odin PSU
    Gigabyte mid tower case

As you can see it's somewhat an old build (4 years now) but it's working great and running all my games on high settings

I'm planning buy the following items:

    Crucial M4 128gb SSD
    12GB DDR3 G.Skill or Corsair 1600 Triple Channel
    CPU Fan
    New case

what do you suggest for fan and case? i was thinking to get HAF 932 i'm kinda worried about how heavy it is which will make it hard to move around

The HAF 932 is definitely a heavy case, but it's very awesome. If you got just a bit of upper body strength, moving it around is really not that bad. Plus it comes with wheels so you can just roll it around your house/room

Generally Antec, Corsair and Cooler Master cases are very good, in my opinion.

For the CPU fan, I'd probably go with a Noctua NH-D14 which by now is rather old but still very good. If you're up for a closed liquid cooling system, I'd go for the Corsair Hydro Series (H60, H70, H80, H100; Depending on how much you want to pay).

Ye, Coolermaster cases are all pretty heavy.

A case does not only need to have the specs/performance you want/need, but if it is in sight you want it to look good too. I regret buying the Coolermaster Cosmos S, great case for what I want to put in but got tired of the looks within weeks.

I like the Haf series myself I haven't tried the In Win cases but a lot of people are buying them and liking them I put some links up for you in that same price range.

    Thanks for the reply everyone

I guess most likely i'll be getting the HAF 932 , as it is available locally and if i order it online , the shipping will cost more than the case it self

for the other parts i'll be getting these :

    SSD: http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2-5-In...2690708&sr=8-1
    RAM: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengea...2690838&sr=1-1
CPU Fan : http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-...2690959&sr=1-1 (Probably getting locally , nearly same price when including shipping price)

As you can see i'm ordering from Amazon because i'm using Aramex shopandship and amazon accepts any Visa card no need for US billing address
