Would you be okay with it if they killed off Lilian Voss?!

Who is Lilian Voss? For the sake of time: http://www.wowpedia.org/Lilian_Voss.

Anyway the concern is this: in the bellow video it looks like they might be considering killing her off. Now this is very early beta video so who knows what fate they really have for her. That said there are some die hard fans so say they did kill her off? Would you be okay with that?

Video finally working. (Jesse, WoWcrendor & also Yogscast good for beta video)

    Poll incoming.
    Poll here.

    please comment.

Edit: For future reference can we please keep the term "Mary Sue" out of the conversation. This term is highly subjective (as it has no single defintion) and prone to contribute in cuasing some rather volitile arguments. Thank you in advance.

It is way too soon to kill her off.

Also, why is she lashing out against the Cult of the Damned when her beef, to date, is with the Scarlet Crusade for abandoning her? Questions, questions...

The Cult of the Damned were also the people behind the Plague, which means they are indirectly responsible for her undeath. The Scarlet Crusade have a beef with her for being undead. Maybe she's trying to "redeem" herself in the eyes of the Crusade by purging the Cult from Scholomance?

Of course, should she go to Stratholme and find out the truth about the Crusade... that could sting.

You ask for more? Then come, traveler, to the Whispering Deep, where only the mad walk.

her quotes in that fight involve saying she won't allow necromancers to spread their plague any longer. that means she's going after the undeath source before going after the scarlet monastery.

remember: in cata she went from tirisfal to weastern plaguelands (and killed scarlets there). she was probably on her way to scholomance when she saw the scarlet camp there and decided to burn them all.

but since she fails at scholomance and dies, she won't be hitting the scarlets anymore lol

I'm getting pretty tired of the undying theme ''every hero must survive, and every villain must die!'', ''whoever is on the adventurers team must survive!''

Kill some more hero's and make more villains pretty please

I don't really care about her, from since the first time I met her through the starting quests of the Forsaken on any alt of mine she felt sort of forced and boringly powerful character to me. So it's same to me if they'll kill her off or not.

If by sting you mean increase her urge to burn the Crusade to the ground heck might even cause her to put demons on her "to be annihilated" list.

The moment she could one shot human mobs, she became too powerful to live. Anything that, if recruited to a faction, would give them a trump card to win is automatically on the list of things to make a dungeon boss.

She only says 'leave me to die' and then we don't see her again, infering death from that is a stretch. Some may find it contrived but 'important' characters (in this case to this dungeon and possibly more) often show up alive later on. Also as I said before this is from day three (or was it four?) of the beta ergo the fights are mostly there but it would be charitable to call the cutscenes and other plot device type stuff incomplete. What we say and the finish product will probably be really different.

I haven't quested through the undead area so I don't really have an opinion, so I chose other. Jesse doesn't seem to want that though... so I guess I'll say no now since Jesse is awesome

The ability to a henchmen in a single strike? Also why does the mob being human matter?? Very confused!

On another note the more I think about it the more I think this may be an unfinnished set of scenes to character develope her into the next Forsaken leader. Maybe. Which would be a pity. Even with all that's all that's happened I still like Sylvannas.

Most people who want Lillian to live also want her to finally join league with the Forsaken. Imagine the Horde having a person who can essentially jump on Varian and kill him instantly.

Well this war wouldn't even be a contest. Because of that, she either needs to go through a powering-down, or die.

OT: I am the most OK with this, it's not like she is a real character development wise anyways

She's not able to instantly kill all living humans, she is a highly skilled assassin with the ability to literally meld with the shadows, but she isn't invincible. But, I don't think she should die there, just because it wouldn't be a "good" death for a character. When named characters die you should feel something.

http://www.wowpedia.org/Captain_Melrache, http://www.wowpedia.org/Benedictus_Voss and a buch of unameds = Varian Wyrnn??? In Wolfheart Varian carved through the Horde offensive like it was butter. She might shape up to someone who could stand on par with Faction leaders but if she's having as much trouble with a dungeon end boss as she appears in the incomplete Scholomance she's still got a ways to go.

Poopjuice I picked the wrong option. I meant to pick "No."

She's got potential for a kind of neutral story arch for the Forsaken. Perhaps she'll start a mini-faction and ally Forsaken that are against the plague and raising people from the dead. Kind of a redeeming factor I suppose.

Either way, killing her off too soon would be a shame.

I predict Lillian Voss will become the new leader of the Forsaken, but time will tell.

Her character isn't that exciting in concept, but it is well implemented. She does have potential to become more interesting as well.

No. She has potenial to be an important character someday, but as of now she isn't. When I heard Jesse's disaproval of her death I remebered she had alot of fans from when I read the 'will Sylvannas be replaced' thread. So I started this thread/poll.
