I love it, you quit playing, everyone else in the guild quits, then you get a free pass to come back to play and do so, and complain because someone who continued playing took over the guild? LMFAO

Yes we could easily make a new guild. I don't know if we could have the name again, and lvling it would be a nightmare, but we could. The thing is, I don't want to make a new guild. Just like how I don't want to make a new character and play for 100 days to get everything back.
Son your guild got played and in a different sense of played lol
I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is back on the scene! I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is my name, and fuckin' up motherfuckers is my game!
Btw OP, just for fun, try and post this exact message at the official Customer Support forum here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/1011699/
Take a guess what kind of responses you'll be getting.

I am not wrong. In fact I am already vindicated by Blizzard's own policy.
read the entire story? I did, all the "core" people quit. He even says he came back with a scroll and got kicked. I find this funny
Remember the old days when Final Fantasy XI deleted your account when you were inactive for 6 months? Lets adopt that system again.
You may have worked hard but then you left. It was obviously not as important as you keep trying to convince us. What he did may be morally wrong, but it is within the rules and you and your guildies messed up. It happens.
This is a game. You lost some fake money, fake items, and reputation with a entity of your own creation. Yes it sucks, but it is not the end of the world. Remake it and this time only have people you know you can trust, or better yet log in every once every 30 days.
I understand that you are hoping we will rise up and curse Blizzard for its policy, but most people seem to either think this is a good policy or could care less. We are not going to rend our clothing in sorrow for you or your now displaced guild. Time to make a fresh start.
I feel for you guys Banditb, it's not the dethroning that's the kicker, it's the emptied out and cross server sale straight after that makes this a scam, anyone who can't see that, is either fooling themselves, pissing to make piss (read as trolling to elicit emotional response), or a scammer trying to justify themselves so as to be able to sleep tonight.
@sealbinder: how do you justify a cross faction sale of the guild then? Is that not a straight scam?
They wait for the chance, then dethrone, that's fine, but straight after they sell the guild cross faction?
That was purposely done to steal the guild and make gold off of it.
If you cannot see the difference between taking the guild to continue it and taking the guild to sell it for personal profit, I worry about your family and coworkers.
Stop making excuses and cosigning an obvious scammer's bullshit.
As far as I can tell from your stance, you might be a sociopath, more over, it lacks heart.
Just how cold inside are you, and what is it you lack in human make up that you don't understand why this is 'clever use of mechanics' to gain personally style scamming?
If this type scammer was not guilty of a scam, and should feel no remorse, why do they always transfer all their toons after?
You know why.
(b/c it's allowed by the current rules, but everyone ((except you)) realizes this is morally wrong, and a dick move, and should not be allowed)
Blizz should disallow faction transfers and sale of guilds after a dethroning for a good amount of time to combat this type of scam.

Proof that the mmochamp community can be a bitter and lonely place. What a shame.
I don't see why Blizz can't allow the GM to set some certain rules, like what ranks can take over a guild if they do happen to go inactive or something. If a GM really wanted to keep a guild he could just g-kick everyone before going away, but it would appear that a small setting could prevent such occurrences.
That's not how the internet works, I'm afraid. The fact is that he used a legitimate system to take control of a guild you abandoned (not froze, as you left an active member within it). If you feel cheated, it's probably because you were, but it's no one's fault but the lvl1's and yours.
Remember the older days when Blizz deleted your Diablo II characters when you were inactive for however long?
I miss mah D2 characters now. :\
Anyway, if you didn't want something like that happening, you should have had someone from the core group come on and be the guild leader so it wouldn't fall into some random person's hands. Or better yet, not have said random persons in your guild in the first place. :P
Just chalk it up as a lesson (hopefully) learned.
