Warlock or?

Hey guys,

I have a warlock which i recently switched too from my hunter for when my guild starts raiding, i switched so one of my officers could play his hunter which he prefers and because i enjoy my lock i didnt mind.

Now despite me enjoying playing my lock (affliction) ive been reading on these forums and people are generally saying that it can hold back progression on fights such as spine and that all the specs are "meh".

My other options are:

To play my paladin which i dont wish to play, mainly because i dislike ret and because we have a prot and holy paladin already.
To play my priest (shadow) which i do enjoy, maybe not as much as my lock but i still enjoy nonetheless.
To play my warlock because i do enjoy it in pve and pvp.

So basically my question is are the things im reading true and can locks hold back a raid or is it just people overreacting.

warlock right now = 120% of effort for 80% of the performance. but something tells me this is gonna change in MoP
