Consider the ocean waves, and how the moon's force guides them this way and that across the earth's surface. Human life is an insane coincidence. We are an instance of the universe becoming conscious of itself, yes, old news but always worth review.
1Kg of Water == 1 L. 1Kg = 2.2 Pounds. Therefore 2.2 pounds of water == 1L of water.
Water poising is possible so dont go stupid with drinking it. Also most things you eat contain water. Fruit and veg and made up of high amounts of water and there for come into consideration of how much water you are consuming.
Drinking cold water can help weight loss. Drinking cold water requires your body to raise the temp of water to that of your internal temp. This takes energy. 1L of water takes 1Kilo Cal to raise the temp by 1 degree Celsius or in other words 1 calorie per 1ml per 1 Degree. That being said this is minimal when it comes to weight loss. The real benfit it fills your stomach so you feel fuller despite the 0 cals in water. Lastly if you drink a lot of water you have less time to eat because your always in the toilet.
As for measuring weight I always recommend people do not use isolated scale readings to judge progress in weight loss. Not only does the amount of water in your body fluctuate but so do many other bodily functions. Thats why if you want a better indication of your actual weight take the mean of 7 days weights. This will help counter the daily fluctuations that you can see. That being said your weight is relativity worthless unless you know your body fat percentage.
You hear it all the time "I lost 3kg of fat this week". Very unlikely and more likely that the person is uneducated on the matter.
