    Top 5 Suggestions, Top 5 Praises

    FIRST OFF: THIS IS FOR PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN THE BETA ONLY

    Hey all, I've noticed a lot of threads about certain subjects, so I decided to make this one to see the big picture.

    List your 5 Suggestions for the game, and your top 5 praises of it here, and I will compile a list with the main points and send it in as Feedback, since some of you may not want to take the time to do so, or just don't want to, or don't know how, or for some other reason.

    This thread is not for discussion of topics, so even if you may not agree with someone's point, keep it out of this thread. Send them a PM if it bugs you.

    5 Suggestions
    1. Have some way to play with friends in overflow servers that is easy to understand.
    2. Better tutorial for WvWvW with a little more communication on how it works.
    3. Events are occuring a little too often (could just be because of large amount of people in server, so TBD)
    4. A few more gear repairing vendors, they seem a little sparse.
    5. Another waypoint or two in Destiny's Edge

    1. Combat flows extremely well. Better than I expected
    2. The opening sequence of the game is a great way to start things off (At least for Charr and Human to me)
    3. DE's and Hearts work very very well, promote teamwork, and flow great. Even if they occur a little too often.
    4. PvP is a ton of fun. Seems fairly well balanced for the most part, even in beta.
    5. Guardians were very well done. Mix of defense and offense is beautiful, with neither being to OP or to underpowered.

    1. Fix Latency problems server side
    2. Optimize the client for GPU
    3. Allow the camera to zoom out further, and fix the camera from zooming into your character upon entering downed state.
    4. Better presentation of UI functions (Turning auto attack on and off for example)
    5. Clearer indication that the event is part of a chain and direction along that chain.

    1. Combat is awesome and makes me feel awesome when latency and performance doesn't get in the way.
    2. The game looks great.
    3. The personal story is compelling and very difficult, and I really enjoy the personal challenge.
    4. Dynamic Events make the world feel like a world and not a series of objectives to pull me through the zones.
    5. Doing well as a Dagger/Dagger thief when everyone says melee thief is extremely difficult makes me feel "boss".

    Suggestions:
    1. Need a way to mail gear to alts vice returning to town for the account-wide bank.
    2. Would be nice to be able to switch characters without having to completely log out and then log back in.
    3. Some form of auto-looting or ae-looting would be great, especially when fighting waves of mobs while escorting an npc.
    4. Larger camera zoom distance and no auto-zoom during the downed state (as already mentioned).
    5. When you leave a city and have to choose Travel/Queue it would be nice if you could disable the pop-up saying what you choose once you've zoned (very minor annoyance).

    Praises:
    1. Music
    2. Visual aesthetics (art style)
    3. Auto down-scaling to keep content relevant
    4. Combat style keeps me focused on the game rather than nodding off after a few hours of leveling
    5. Was kind of skeptical about so few abilities but I really prefer it now to having a ton to keybinds to memorize

    5 Suggestions (omitting what has already been stated about latency issues, GPU, etc)
    1. Give heart events a circle area like random bosses. This will give us a better idea of the boundary.
    2. Fix the terrain clipping issue with dodging. I don't know about some of you guys, but I frequently try to dodge only to be caught by the terrain and I only roll in place. (And no, I know I'm not on a hill when I try to dodge).
    3. Can we please start with Black armor die? Or at least a deep, DEEP navy blue? We already have a ghost-ish white color (I want to say its called "marble"). Grey just isn't the same.
    4. A few more pieces of armor at the early level heart quest vendors instead of just the little modifiers. Nothing huge, but 1 vendor will give some blue pants, another some gloves, etc.
    5. I don't quite have a solution for this but... could melee please have some advantage for being melee? I ask this not because of PvP (as I have not done any yet) but for some of the world bosses. I feel like that I almost always have to switched to my ranged option for those bosses, because if I don't I promptly get pimp slapped by the boss and go down.

    1. Smoooooooooooth fluid combat. I love it!
    2. So pretty even on min graphics!
    3. Combat and death noises. Kind of odd, I know, but in WoW... I HATE HATE HATE the NE death sound. So sick of hearing it. But when you're outside Shamoor (sp?) offing bandits... its rather satisfying when you kill one.
    4. DE's really make leveling enjoyable. In fact, the only reason I look at my level, or care about it, is to see if I'm way to low for that DE. I've been rather creative and did some DE's that were 2,3, and even 4 levels over me simply because of how they scale and how combat works.
    5. Classes make sense. Even the ones we'd think of as "melee" work amazingly as ranged and visa versa.

    Suggestions:
    1. Better direct interaction with players. I can't see who are talking now. I only see the names in the local chat. I miss chat bubble, just for the reason that i can see whose people are talking.
    2. Tutorial about crafting.
    3. Better options for socializing in events. Now I feel like, oh jump in event. And just do your own things and finished, then everyone leave. I didnt even met anyone.
    4. Give us the option to heal other people. Self healing is good idea, but healing other people sound alright.
    5. Improve Ranger Pet, now I feel they are useless and die too often.

    Praises:
    1. Intro story is so amazing.
    2. Hearth Karma, and that you can get totems from karma people when you finished heart quests, I really like them!
    3. Harboel is amazing!
    4. Each weapons have different abilities, that is the best idea ever. And that you gain new ability after you have used that weapon for some time. I really like this!
    5. World Map is so great!

    5 Suggestions:
    1) Leap attacks go straight out, often causing you to leap over your target. This is a bit annoying when playing a Sword Ranger.
    2) Make the collision boxes a little bit bigger, GW1 collision detection was quite a bit better.
    3) Giving a hint to Rangers on how to tame other pets would be nice. Would like to see the profession trainers have a handful of helpful hints.
    4) Faster looting would be nice, either auto loot or hittinf F a second time loots all items.
    5) Setting my account to access beta every day would be highly beneficial.

    5 Praises:
    1) DEs are just that awesome. I don't think I'll be able to play a regular themepark MMO again.
    2) I love how there are so many places to explore.
    3) Combat flows extremely well, I haven't seen MMO animations this smooth since WoW.
    4) Soule's best work to date, he has outdone himself.
    5) The scale of the cities are absolutely amazing. You can literally wander around for an hour an not see everything.

    Auto Looting is in. AoE looting is not, but by setting auto loot, you only have to click f to loot everything a mob drops. Almost as efficient as aoe loot.

    Suggestions:
    1. More NPC's to repair equipment.
    2. Camera to zoom out further.
    3. Ranger pets die way too easily.
    4. Change the guild chat color, it's hard to notice right now.
    5. Remove the return to waypoint cost if you're defeated.

    Praises:
    1. Combat is fun
    2. Most events are awesome
    3. Lion's Arch... wow.
    4. Music
    5. Intro for each race, they're really well made.

    Suggestions:

    1) Mob difficulty may be too high while solo, at least for melee specs.
    2) More clear pathways into new areas.
    3) Some form of tutorial for the many aspects of the game.
    4) A /say like in WoW.
    5) A way to switch characters without logging out. (This one might just be me failing).

    Praises:

    1) BEAUTIFUL. Love the environments.
    2) Gameplay promotes cooperation and helpfulness. Nothing like getting rezzed under the feet of a Champion.
    3) All gathering nodes show up on map with different icons, very cool.
    4) Persistent sense of danger, even when you are fighting just one mob.
    5) Always seems like there is something going on around you.
