I'm now 30 I'd like to go ranked, some questions.

So I'm now 30 got full tier3 runes as support and tank, maybe also as AD.
I got around 140 victories, someone says I should have much more to go ranked but from what I read in this forum there is people much worst then me playing ranked.

The questions are:
- I go solo, what's the % I can play as support? (many ppl want this role or noone want it?)
- I see lot of matches with Janna so I guess is not often banned, and I play her and many other supports so I should be ok, am I wrong?
- If all the roles are taken and the only one left is something I really can't play cause we are gonna loose anyway, should I just quit?

If you're asking this, it means you really should play more normal games before going ranked.

Play more games out of your confort zone (chars you never played before, roles, etc...) to get more experience when playing them / facing them.

Support isn't the most popular spot. Play any support you want, sona and janna is good. Tip for getting the spot you want: Say it in the chat! Communication is underrated in lol. Don't mind Wapetufo, if you feel confident enough play ranked. If your elo (your rating) sucks, so what? Eventually you get better and you will get higher elo.

70-99% do not want to play support. They fight for solo lanes.

You will only see something like: Kassadin, Shaco, Rammus, Shen, Lee Sin, etc. Mid & jungler bans, never support.

If you feel this way at this moment... I suggest not to play ranked untill you know the answer yourself. Your elo drops with "10?" everytime you leave, it´s like a lost game.

Had the runes for every role, knew how to counter any champion?

Ok this seems to be a good reason.
Atm I can't play as jungler for sure, I'm confident as support/tank/ad/mid with more then 1 champion.

Now I undertand why so many screwed ranked games if people can't leave, and ofc is right u can't leave or u will do the draft until u get something u like.

I would recommend that you play some more normal draft games, play outside your comfort level. From reading I would work on jungling, nocturne, mundo, shyvana, udyr are all amazing junglers. Also i would make sure you have a few run sets ready to go in case the role you wanted is already taken.

There is a very high possibility you will be able to play support. Always say it at start.

Anyway, I suggest you learn AD carry also. Get more experience and more important get some friend you can play with. It will raise your chance of winning.

Got the runepage bundle yesterday, the runes are not perfect though.

Play more games. I am at over 500 and still dislike doing ranked due to not being able to win every lane. Wait until you have 200+ normal wins. Also, make sure you have 3 people for each role as a general rule.

Having a lot of wins doesn't really mean a whole lot. Ranked is just normal draft where you're somewhat less likely to have experiments or leavers.

All you really need to do is ensure that you have at least 2 champions (preferably 3-4) that can fill each role, and that you are comfortable with playing any of them. It doesn't hurt to be a bit vocal and get chat going during champion select, so that you can try to avoid players playing roles they are not comfortable with.

Pre-30 games are a joke, and even at 30 most games are, but they are played completely different.

You'll rarely see scores like this flying around. Ashe stacking IE, Talon stacking Thornmail.. Just go and get used to lvl 30 games first and then consider ranked.

Ranked isn't necessarily for the 'better' players as in low ELO you will undoubtedly find a lot of morons. It just doesn't really help the cause if you get an inexperienced player on your team. It'll only make you lose more than you should and your ELO will go lower and lower, and you really don't want this to happen.

Play more games at 30 before doing ranked, so you get the feel for how people play. Pre-30 games are a joke most of the time and not a good judge for skill. As long as you know 3 roles well and can at least play the other 2 you should be good. The fact that you play mostly support is good for you because no one plays support unless they're forced most of the time.

That (^) said, get used to playing support a bit more first. Odds are you can pick it, but taking that upgrade from Philo Stone does show you have a bit left to learn even for that particular role. Same goes for the Guardian Angel.
