Cant download new patch

So I tried to log into d3 today and go a messge saying theres a new patch game will close and download yadyada

so whe i click okay i exit out of the game and i get a message that says d3 has stopped working and then the launcher comes back up how to i get around this

First, are you running the launcher as Admin (right click on the desktop icon)?

No I'm double clicking it in my start menu to bring up the launcher should I set it up so it doesn't run the launcher ?

Go to where the launcher's located (C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III by default), right click on it then select "Run as Admin". You may get a User Control Panel prompt, select Yes. See if that helps.

If you're using a router, try turning it off and then back on to clear the cache (If the above suggestions dont fix it )
