star wars hands down...i stopped watching harry potter after 5? yea i think it was 5 the latest aka prequel star wars had way too much lovey dovey shit in it but the franchise as a whole fuck yea man...star wars is the shit.

I get more enjoyment out of the Harry Potter books than the travesty of EP 1-3. It's a mixed bag for me, some of Star Wars is utter shit, some of it excellent (I'm looking at you EP5 and KOTOR). I abstain.

Hmmm... Tough question.
As Willeonge just pointed out, Star Wars has 3 good movies out of 6 movies. - Some would say 2½ good movies...
Harry Potter is sitting at 8 good movies.
As many times as I have seen Star Wars, and as long as I have been a Star Wars fan, I find it interesting how close I came to voting for Harry Potter.

I've only ever seen 1 star wars movie, I forget which one, I think it may have been how darth vader was made or something. I just couldn't get into it.
I've seen all the harry potter movies though and loved them, so it's gotten my vote.

This was a tough decision. I have been a Star Wars fan since it was originally released before all the edited crap that came later. I have been a Harry Potter fan since those movies came out as well. If it came down to me making money off of one of the franchises, I would have to choose Star Wars since nothing even remotely comes close to how much money it has made throughout the years.

Would have to say Star Wars. Harry Potter never really impressed me. To be honest, Star Wars didn't really impress me much either (/shaniatwain'd), but it impressed me more than Harry Potter ever did, so it's the lesser of two evils I guess.

look at your series, now look at mine, now back your series, now back at mine. sadly it isn't mine, but it could look like it's mine if you stopped being a harry potter fan. look down, back up, where are you? you on the death star in the series your series could be. look in your hand what is it? it's a blaster to shoot harry potter, look again, that blaster is now a light saber! anything is possible in star wars, i'm in a TIE-fighter.

never really got into the star wars universe, i understand its following, i just enjoy watching hagrid more than any character in the star wars universe
