The Harry Potter books are very good, although the movies just suck after the reading the books, they skip so many good characters. The star wars movies are very good though(I'm part of the spoilt new generation that thinks the most recent Star Wars film is the best), although I haven't read the books. Overall I would say Star Wars, although that is partially because I currently am playing swtor (and enjoying it, to all you haters .

Star Wars. I feel sorry that I never got into reading or watching the Harry Potter series. I guess this is my choice because I've seen the movies and played TOR, but that's my opinion.

The first Star Wars was alright, but in general Star Wars is complete garbage. The rest were terrible. IMO Lucas is overrated as hell and he's been piggybacking off it for decades. Mainly because he can't do anything else. Come up with something else. JMO and I stand by it. Harry Potter is way better. The movies are great and the books are great. Anyone who actually enjoys reading and reads a lot can tell you the series is very well done.

I like the original Star Wars, but I found Ep2 to be a complete bore and I was unimpressed with Ep 1 & 3.

I was a huge Harry Potter fan when I was younger, buying books 3 + 4 the first day they came out and watching the first movie on it's first day, but I just completely lost interest over time. Book 7 was out for a whole year before I got around to reading it, I saw the fourth movie once, only because it was a family outing, and I still haven't seen the fifth movie onward.

Harry Potter for me.
When I was little I loved Star Wars a lot. I also loved the 3 movies everyone hates (Until I got older and now I cant stand them lol). I still like Star Wars and Ill stop and watch the first movies if theyre on, but Harry Potter is just so much more me. Ive always loved magic and magical creatures way more than aliens.
Books are amazing and the movies are pretty good for being limited to a certain amount of time to cram all of the story into.
(Plus A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel are freaking hilarious)

Lol, the films are actually complete garbage compared to the books (which are masterpieces).
Not taking you seriously after saying Harry Potter films are great, but to add that you also basically say that The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi were directed by Lucas (which they are not), and saying that The Empire Strikes Back is complete terrible, which is actually one of the best and most amazing films in film history which has stood the test of time well.
