So there I was, battling evil spirits, Orcs and Dragons.. And then "Who's best pony?" resounded through the halls. I thought no more of it at the time, the warrior who screamed the question happened to be in the middle of his recklessness as he yelled it. But then once the heat of battle had faded and the treasure distributed, the madness continued.
"I like Twilight Sparkle the best!" - Mage.
"Hah, no. Rarity all the way." - Priest.
"Rainbow Dash wins, always." - Warrior.
"Almost, Twilight..." - Mage.
"STOP!" - Me.

What is this with the ponies and why has it infected the online community?

Does anybody actually watch the show? As in actually watch the episodes, 1, 2, 3 (...).

Should I be watching it? Who is the show designed to appeal to?
