Why do low rated players always want to fight you?

I don't get it. I'll be camping for aeonaxx and someone of the other faction will always emote me and taunt me to come down and fight them, Why? Do they not see my Gladiator title and furious glad tabard? Do they seriously think they'll be able to 1v1 me? It's always the people <1500 rating that do this.

Can someone explain why people do this? if im on an alt this never happens, but whenever I'm on my pvp toon with Gladiator it happens all day

Because fighting a gladiator is always going to be a different experience than fighting some 2k rogue kid who thinks they're good at the game.

I just wouldn't wear the title if you don't want to be hassled.

Because if they kill you it's "Lol I killed a gladiator, I'm awesome, I could totally be glad if I tried, I just can't find good partners!" If you kill them it's "oh well I lost to a gladiator, he has a better weapon than me, that's why I lost."

Ether way, they win in their way. If they lose "OMG, it was almost. Most have been the gear" if they lose "Pff his glad he have no life, i could be glad if i had no life aswell"

I'd say the gladiator title probably attracts them more than it scares them away.

It's sorta like when you roll up next to someone at a red light. If you roll up in an Escort, they won't pay you any attention. If you roll up in some badass muscle car (I'm not really a car guy so can't think of any examples....use your imagination), they're going to want to race you.

Your gladiator title and tabard don't mean anything. Sorry. I've beaten more glads than I can count, and I've never gone past 1750 in arena. Not every Gladiator is good.

Why not is the question, your PvP title isn't anything to go by under any circumstances and neither is your rating, you do have a choice you know - ignoring taunts is a start, unless it's a pig fucker Gnome then you should go for it.

Other then the fact that this seems to be a grab at attention, he does have a bit of truth. And the worst part is, if you lose, the insults will never stop, despite how nice and/or professional you are to people, if they beat someone 400+ rating higher then them, it is always "LOL U NUB U GOT CARRIED ROFL I PWNED YOU!"

I have not played my rogue in pvp (or pve for that matter) in ages, but people look at my statistics page even, and see that I have been 2400; and when they beat my poor 3k resilience rogue with 359 weapons in a duel they rip on me relentlessly :P

Whatever I'll bite. Because people want to improve and fighting "the best" players always makes for a good learning experience. Also if they lose they are supposed to lose but if they win they beat a gladiator.

During the end of TBC i was bored of raiding on my mage so i would spend my time in Goldshire. Either duelling friends/strangers or just watching while i waited for my BG queue to pop.
Shortly after i started doing this i got the 'Justicar' title and was sporting it as my favourite (i only had like 3-5 titles at that point). Oh boy was that a double edged sword.

Either people were impressed that i got it or just plain rude and obnoxious. One guy watched me duel a lowbie and the second i lost he went absofuckinglutely APESHIT on me in /say. How can someone with that title not know their class/how to play/need to delete my mage and uninstall WoW...

Yes i lost to a lowbie and so fucking what ? I could have 2 shot the lowbie but we were both having fun and that is all i wanted. Getting that title is not a matter of skill, just time, but he didn't want to hear it and DEMANDED that i duel him.
Ok lets get it on loudmouth. PVP gear on and lets rumble. He lost with me on 3/4 hp, iceblock unused, coldsnap unused and water elly on passive.

Next thing i see is him COMPLAINING that i won because i was a frost mage (yeah like i didn't expect that) and that i SUCK, before he mounted up and rode off...

Why do people have to be dickheads to others who are not interfering with them ? Simple, ego and presumption.

This thing pretty much . If for example a rogue beats my warlock in a duel they'll start stroking their e-peen and say how much better they are than me etc.

Some people do it for the challenge and to learn though . But that's a really small minority
