    Activision-Blizzard may be for sale!

    http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6381404...zzard-for-sale
"The industry's largest third-party publisher might be for sale. According to a Bloomberg report, senior executives of Activision Blizzard parent Vivendi are meeting later this month to determine whether they want to sell the telecom giant's majority stake in the game developer."
What can this mean for WoW? Even more horrifying, what does this mean for Blizzard as a whole? I'd rather not some terrible developer such as Nexon or EA buy them.

With no new IP's on the horizon I don't doubt that Activision is going to dump it.

I can see Nexon buying them, be like micro transaction heaven.

Either way I think Vivendi is too big.

Or if Zynga buys them, WoW becomes a Facebook game!

I hope EA buys them then hopefully it will stop the VS threads because everything would be connected to some degree .

Though if EA bought them, I can see lots of DLC on every expansion ever.

Not a lot. WoW is Blizzard's piggy bank. People pump money in month after month, I doubt that will change. Maybe a push for more micro-transactions. Maybe an evolution of the Real-Money Ah to wow. Even $ for gold.

Well that will just make people more unhappy with WoW, in my opinion.

Med'an was largely penned by him.
    It's why you don't see him in-game.

On an on-topic note, Blizzard have done a good job of not implementing Micro-transactions that AFFECT the game, mostly cosmetic stuff.
I don't know if other publisher/developers would be so generous and would probably try and milk WoW for what it is worth.

MoP is WoW's penultimate expansion, the game is ending it's overall lifecycle. I doubt any company taking over will change the course of WoW as the game will "finish" within the next 3 years, it's all already planned out.

That would only be profitable for Blizzard if people actually still play the game, by the time Blizzard have axed their original morals such as "Your standing in real life will never affect you standing in game" completely; I doubt even 50% of the people playing now will be playing then.

I'm a fence sitter and that would completely turn me off.

Blizzard should just go back to being Blizzard and be indie, like Valve<3 and CDProjekt.

Those are the best game developers on the planet, no need for an overlord.

I don't doubt. Any new company that gets their hands on the property will look to exploit i short-term to justify their purchase expense.

I'm so proud of people lately, you all seem to be waking up to what's happening behind the scenes in the last few weeks.

    This makes me happy.

    Their is hope,

Hmm. I didn't know Richard had anything to do with the comic series. But Rhonin and Krasus are also his characters and they made an appearance ingame. Sorry for off-topic.

However, hope is looking quite bleak for your spelling.
