    BWE2 Feedback/Impression Discussion Thread!

In an effort to keep the forums somewhat clean this weekend, let's use this thread for discussion about your impressions of the game and feedback! (That means I'm going to close/merge other threads for the most part)

PLEASE don't post your Impression of the game from just one or two hours of play... Wait it out, get to 15-20 and try harder content. Please remember that the only areas out right now are STARTER areas! So the difficulty will be relatively easy compared to higher level content. If you want difficulty, get to level 30 and try the dungeon, and remember they said that 1-30 is easier then the areas after 30 and it was even hard for them.

Enjoying it much more than the previous beta. Smoother, cleaner, and levelling well.

I cant get over "check bushes for bandits" though. As if they're playing some sort of game =3

To be fair, "first impression" implies what you think of the game after a relatively short amount of play

Unplayable for me this time round.

Can't get more than 7 FPS even on the character screens, in-game is just a nightmare.

To be fair, a weekend is a relatively short period of time as well.

Feels smoother, they did a great deal of improvement in the optimizing department. My tiny overheating laptop has yet to shut itself off :3

Love the addition of Sell Junk to merchants. They listen to feedback! The new dodge bar is awesome too. New storage tabs for advanced craftables and gemstones. Also saw different choices in the norn creation screen, can't say for the otehr races yet. The minimap now feels just like U in Guild Wars 1, and I believe the little arrow on its right side is to activate or deactivate the dot trail. Overall, VERY NAJS <3

I like it so far. Much more improved and smoother game play. The graphics look great and I'm happy to be playing again. Will be even more happy when the game is released :-)

Still no auto-follow which puts me off. If the game doesn't have an auto-follow added, I will probably go back to playing WoW. That's the only thing stopping me from playing this game over WoW at the moment.

I haven't had much time to test the game yet but one thing that I'm happy about the performance. After reading over and over again on this forum how unoptimized the beta is I was worried it wouldn't run very well on my 3 year old pc. I'm now happy to say that I can run the game at nearly highest settings and the fps doesn't drop at all in crowed, effect intense areas.

Since I unfortunately couldn't play the previous BWE I can't compare it to this one but I will try to share my impressions after the weekend, once I've gotten a better feel for the game.

I didn't know that there was a large chunk to be downloaded (after updating everyday) but my impression is still one of amazement.
    <-- That is otterly adorable.

What's your rig like? This BWE is actually running smoother for me, averaging 50-60 fps during combat.

Spent about 2 hours in Starter Area managed to get some started quests done, moved over the PVP.
I love the NPC of each class, few of them sucked in PVP didnt use much of there abilities, but it's very good too see what other classes are capable of and I love the underwater PVP.

Start of the game wasn't too in to it, now I'm really enjoying the game cant' wait to get into more content.
I played the stress test for 8 hours but all I literally was doing was button bashing in PVP not having a clue.

Considering it's a continuation from BWE1, how can anyone who's done BWE1 really be ignorant for expressing their opinion about BWE2? That's assuming BWE1 players got to at least level 15.

    Well then, my impressions:
-I like the the new dodge meter. It really cleans up the UI.
-I like the new minimap. It's much more easy on the eyes.
-After finally getting to monkey around with the new "treed" skill system, I find it to not be all that bad. ANet lets one pick skills that are pretty good even from the first tree. I had no problem with it on my Guardian.
-I love the new rune system.
    -The hospital is still screwed.

I'm playing on a Macbook Pro (windows 7 bootcamp) with a GF GT 330M 256MB GFX card and I had to turn my details down to low on pretty much every setting to get a stable green FPS reading hovering around 30FPS. It still looks very good even having done that.

I've only played for an hour or so but i'm blown away by some features. It reminds me of other games but there are elements that really make this game unique from the rest. And the phantasms that fire pistols... omfg. Best attack i've ever seen in an MMO.

What makes me really optimistic for this game is the lack of subscription. I think that will be the winner for this game.

The difficulty seems a bit easier in personal storyline quests now.
New Dynamic events within Shaemoor is always a plus! (and I think multiple can happen within the same area too now)
UI I love even more. Managed to get used to the new mini map too.
New Tiered skill system I'm discovering new skills I never used before.
Guardian Greatsword is amazing though my poor pc is struggling to handle being in melee range.
    Some subtle world enviroment changes.
Better rewards for zone completion's. (still not perfect but much better)
    Chat bubbles!

Performance wise, ehhh for me it's about the same. I have noticed that disabling shadows bumps the FPS up dramatically for me.

if I have a complaint then its that the re-keybinding of spells removes the range finder and the key icon. quite hard to play ranger when I dont know what my range is :P

Third beta event I take part in, and I'm bored with the Norn areas and the humans and charr don't interest me. I wanna play Sylvari.

I'm also very undecided on what class to play.

Performance is slightly better. General fps didn't increase much, but big events aren't as slow as before.

    Connection issues!
I'm sure it'll be fine come Saturday though.
