They are actually pretty common a while into the game, I've found several on vendors in the towns.
Sorry to say, but there's nothing special about double socket pants.
I get tons of them, several with 3 as well.
i was pretty damn glad anywho i couldnt find a single pair for me on the AH
I'm surprise that you're surprised. I see them quite often. That said, 50% of all pants should have 2 sockets, afterall some of us need to fit their jewels somewhere.
Wait for the triple sockets, dear Sizzlin.
@other posters, notice his level? He obviously recently got the game/got to the level where you start seeing sockets.
Yea nothing new here, it's gonna get more common as you level up :P
Also are you EU by any chance? Leveling a DH at 33 atm and I just changed my weapons, could toss you the old ones (rares with sockets already gemmed, req lvl 26), definitely a dps upgrade!
Edit; nvm saw the sig
Probably mixing up pants (max 2 sockets) and chests (max 3). Anyway, yeah they're nothing special.
Stop being rude to those who made a simple mistake with socket counts
Yeah double sockets not that special, although they can be really good to boost your stats
I see them fairly often, only about level 30 something(just started Nightmare). First saw some in act 3, and would occasionally get double socketed items.
Socketed items are a bit of a wash in Diablo 3 I find, since pretty much all of the itemization for the sockets seems to come out of the primary attribute pool, and unlike in WoW there is no bonus for socketing the item.
EDIT: Well I mean, helm sockets are cool, because you can get Magic find, gold find, %health bonus, but "other" socket items are a wash.

There good for leveling alts when you have access to high level gems.
example, throwing a couple of high level int gems in it when you roll a wizard
They are however quite common, Nice to see someone actually excited about finding something in the game which is a low level item, rather than people bitching about things.
With pants and chest pieces, it's pretty common. I think it's more rare with smaller pieces, from my own experience at least.
Rule of Thumb: If the healer's HPS is higher than your DPS, you're doing it wrong.
shoot i got zero complaints so far. just finished it and got into nightmare mode lol.
my only complaint could be auction house prices on rings and necks D: but i guess they could be justified seeing how rare it is to see some of the stat items.
saw on the AH today a lvl 31 quiver with 175 dex 45 vit, 1 socket and 11% attack speed. and for 2k gold. i went ape shlt when i tried to buy it and it was already gone lol.
