Being a huge pve'er in GW1 i find GW2 such a let down in so many areas. But in saying that, the one thing, the only thing that seems to be fairly free of criticism is sPVP and WvWvW. I'm wondering since Anet stated their dreams for this to go esport, that the PVE is not so much tact on but just something to appease the pve'ers from the first game. and i do mean...loosely appease.
Theres obvious issues with levelling. either not enough xp, not enough pve content to make up for the little xp. The people who dont want to do everything in the game all the time is also another hurdle, Anet havent really explained IN GAME much of what goes on and tutorials are desperately needed.
Thats my brief, i can go more into it, but what i wanted to say was with a bloke i met on another forum we're arguing back and forth, and i suddenly realised he was arguing on the pvp side of things. whereas i was for the pve side. all his experiences as most on pvp in gw2 are extremely positive, yet the pve side leaves a lot to be desired.
honestly, if pvp is truly their main focus since the game as many have stated is centred around pvp, maybe let the pve go. Considering how solid the pvp side is I'm sure people would get it soley for that. Look at games like Planetside 2 and Tribes Ascend and how popular they are. No campagin.
