Wow, that's actually quite nice. I think I can live with that very easily. That's how I would have preferred to play it, but I didn't want to get bitched at by my friends who have been playing during closed beta. I'll just go at it at my own pace then. (:

You mean you died on a hardcore character on launch day and you're surprised? Never woulda happend with D3 ... probably cause no one could log in day 1 there. XD

Since I can't actually play the game reliably, I am sitting in town with global chat open.

Kind of a game breaking bug rofl. My friend tried to unequip an axe he was using and every time he would click it everyone in town would DC along with him.

Luckily after 5 attempts we figured out how to fix it!

Call me awkward but the game fails for me because of the stupid running animations and the combat just doesn't feel like I'm hitting anything. I can see the strong points with customization and stuff here, but if the game looks and feels bad I can't enjoy it.

Could you imagine if everyone in the world like the same game? That would be some serious lag right there. Joking aside I guess if you can't warm up to <insert game name here> it happens. I know it does with me too.

The announcement of HC deaths high on ladder are nice addition. Just saw a lvl 44 die, 48 is highest level right now.

Yeah, it's like that with Rift for me. Just can't deal with that graphics. PoE graphics for me is rough and atmosferic like in D1 for example, no problem there.

It's definitely rough with the animations and combat but I really like everything else about the game.

They really cranked up the difficulty on bosses for party play.

Playing in a party of 5, all of us had HC chars over 70, and it was like 15 mins to kill Mervil. We had to tp to town constantly to replenish. They gave her a crap ton of HP and her dmg nearly one shots you even with resist.

We just did bishop and it was so fucking intense I needed a break to sit back and relax my shoulders for a min. The adds. The damage. The spike damage. The sheer amount of various damage sources thrown at you. The metric ton of boss HP.

For goodness sake, this is normal mode.

Chris Wilson said his goal was to one day was to create a league where everyone dies by level 4. GG.

Fun fact: There are only 2 animators for the game. Until recently, 1.

GGG are good but still an indie developer.

i played the game and honestly it wont ever be what i want for a true diablo. sure it has complex skill system, good social aspect, and no AH. but its just diablo. like no demons from hell with pentagons and angels and shit. just feels bad man

What Fencers doesn't get is that the "d3 was my first ARPG" crowd may actually like the genre, and you get more people to play with.
It was "gated communities" that almost killed P&P RPGS, MTG, and Warhammer.

Stuff like this one bug the fucking shit out of me in any game...it's like they are almost completely dead and have no curiosity to do anything like explore, and to make it worse there's usually only the one way to go.

just reading about a gold supporter on the official forums that managed to delete one of his helmet effects because he tried to equip a different one with out using the unbind button first....which i'm pretty damn sure they pointed out specifically in the patch notes to be careful of
