Yeah, I really like totems. They are really good for a Bow class, much better than I originally imagined. My totem with Ice Shot really compliments my LA/Frenzy Bow Scion. I can build up Frenzy charges (8 max) and that has the effect of turbo-charging my totem. It has Ice shot, added fire damage, LMP and Chain and it really spams the ability! It's great for controlling crowds while my Lightning arrow is LMP, Chain Curse on hit and Projectile Weakness. Frenzy has Blood magic, faster attacks and life leech, I use it for bosses and for building up and keeping frenzy charges.

It really make some bosses a complete joke, ones that other players strongly complain about. But still the Dungeon boss is a pain in the head, he just chain-grips the totem and eats it, then proceeds to chain-grip me. What an infuriating boss. I bring along a puncture gem just for him.

If you need Scrolls of Wisdom, sell Orbs of Transmutation to the vendor in a pinch, 1 stack gives 2 stacks of wisdom iirc.

selling portals is better since they have no use.

The drop rate of Wisdoms greatly increases at higher levels too. you will find yourself swimming in them later on.

Library is also a good place to farm them because of the scribes, at least if you're leveling.

i cant decide which of the two guidses to go for.. they both endup being the same much later on but early on they kinda go there own way yesterday i decided to go with the pathofpoe one but now im not sure anymore

and for the first guide it says to use ST/LMP/AF/DS/FA then hatred aura.. do i need some fancy multi link sword for that?

atm ive only got ST and added fire on the same item but my LMP gem requires 25 which is a way off atm

Looks like you'll need a 5L chest or weapon for that.

Fancy? As in a 5L? Those are common enough or easy to craft.

You just need any 5L or 6L 2h weapon or chest piece. It's best if you have a 5/6L chest and weapon, naturally. But either one will do for ST/LMP/AF/DS/FA.

5 links are not 'common'. You need a 'fair amount' of currency to get one, either by crafting or buying. They're not horribly expensive like 6links, but they're not supercheap either if you just started.

Are you on normal act? If so, you shouldn't expect great drops, let alone a 5L item.

Alchs don't link sockets, if that's what you're saying. If not, using alch on low itemlevels is a waste of currency. Using a trans and/or an alt is more than enough for low levels.

Also, if you're clearing areas or killing all the rares you come across, you should have at least all of your items as magic, if not rare.

Then you have incredibly bad luck in all things. As 4Ls are all over the place now.

Yes. Normal mode is mostly trivial- its a sluggish tutorial, essentially.

i finished normal on my ranger which i then deleted so i could reuse the name on a scion
