The trinket is mainly useful if you can use the massive amount of expertise on it.

the bracers are horribly itemized. you want haste on as many items as possible as a base stat.

i really hope you will upgrade that item first when item upgrading is available again. you're not going to replace that, unless if you maybe get a thunderforged http://www.wowhead.com/item=96619#comments.

I'm trying to understand here something from my simcraft results if anyone can help:

I ran a simcraft with my char ( http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...Floross/simple ) and I got :

112724 dps , Str @ 3.76, Haste @ 2.15

Then I replaced the two 320 str gems in my BS sockets with two 480 Haste Gems and I got :

112334 dps , Str @3.79 , Haste @ 2.52

This makes no sense , putting more haste increased the value of both Haste and Str while widening the gap between haste and str as well. Ideas ?

Just picked up a regular Ji-Kun with a greed roll. Gonna do some testing after the raid and see how she handles with the new RPPM mechanics. Will post results.

Got a Heroic Spark. Seeing 1Proc about every min. 50/50 ish on wings line up even 9 mins in. Legit trinket. Clearly BiS. Not worth delaying because eventually it will proc before wings. Just keep do normal dps.

upside if we can use ji kun. The heroic TF automaticaly goes to us since I doubt warriors and dks want it.

This should prolly be consdiered when looking at Primo vs Ji. Primo is going to be highly wanted you prolly won't get a 541.

Here are my results with some quick 5 minute tests in Shrine with Ji-Kun. Only buffed with might and stats. Might be some discrepancies with other people hitting the dummy and applying various debuffs.

Not the most accurate or conclusive tests, but it definitely gives me an idea of what the trinket will do for me. My burst at the pull will be absolutely batshit insane, but its hard to say how the rest of the pull will go. I'm probably going to stick with my Darkmist for now and look into Ji-Kun again once I can drop some hit off my gear.

if you do the math, a 320 STR gem is 160 STR more than a regular 160 gem, but a 480 haste gem is only 160 haste more than a regular 320 gem. even with your stat weights, it's better to use 2 pure STR gems as your serpent's eyes.

Spark of Zandalar looks good on paper, but from my experience using it, it might not be any better than +2 Relic of Xuen. I'm seeing downtime average more like 90s, which would mean lineup with wings is ~33%, or once in a six minute encounter, right as the boss hits enrage.

Hey, we *just* updated our site with the new trinket proc mechanics that blizzard posted about. We have been spot-checking the results all day to make sure nothing crazy was going on. But if you see something that looks a bit crazy, let me know. It's always good to get a few extra eyeballs and opinions on it when we change the logic functions (which we had to do, because of the new proc mechanics).

You can see the average value you'd get from proc on our trinket page. Then if you look at your own character, we factor haste into the procs too.

Anyway, I'm headed to sleep and I'll check back tomorrow to see if anything is crazy.

Yeah, Ji-Kun was also on my wishing list.
The best thing of all this, is now i can coin for trinkets and tier and not think about weapons.
AND ofcourse wreck all those puny warriors and DK's feeling cocky

So yeah , you're correct it's slightly more dps however still doesn't explain why having more haste increases the value of haste.

How does haste interact with the new so-called RPPM trinkets?
More haste = more chances to get a proc and therefore a higher uptime (overall) on the trinkets?
With the recent change/buff to the trinkets increasing the chance of a proc if the previous one failed to generate suggest that more haste = better for the trinkets.
Or is it balanced out with a "max" proc per minute and thus making haste completely irrelevant for the trinkets?
