Am I the only one here who thinks that them waypoints look really ugly and, in some areas, out of place in this magnificant world?

well, it's asuran technology
They just look so odd and out of place, especially in the plant people's areas.
It's kind of difficult to make them not look out of place. They don't really bother me though. They do their job by standing out so I know where they are.
I actually rather like the look of them. Sleek and sophisticated.
Amazed an asura managed to design it.
I think they fit in just fine.
Now pandas on the other hand would look out of place.

Yup.

It's magical, and Asuran. It's fine.
Random complaint is random.

But, I guess if this is the kind of complaint GW2 gets, it's a pretty awesome game overall
on topic: They look good (to me) considering the lore (I'm no expert, and this is my current understanding) -- the other races are using Asura tech. So, for example, the char city with it's industrial look is "OK" with a Asurian waypoint tech plopped in....but only because everyone (ie. all NPC's, rollplay, lore, etc) recognize that they aren't char-made.
However, looking at some of the recent Sylvari videos, it doesn't look like they have waypoints (at least in their city, is this correct?) -- but rather, those floating dandelion spores "elevator" thingies. Do they not have good relations with Asura?
I actually like them. I want them to be bit "different" even at times not fitting. Its "magic/technology" thing.
Gives me bit of a .hack//SIGN feeling. Gates there didnt "fit" either. Me likes!
I honestly don't think we need Vistas in the first place because they're basically just exploration cutscenes but Anet put Vistas in so we would have something else to complete in each zone (which is basically exploration) and we would need a way to get credit for it.
