Thats awesome lol
Didn't someone post stat weights where for SMF STR > Crit? You'd want pure str and str hybrid gems in this case.
I'll need 2-3 dps gear sets come MoP =(
Cairne wanted to thank him again, to offer encouragement, praise for a task so successfully completed. For being able to bear such burdens. But Saurfang was an orc, not a blood elf, and lavish compliments and effusion would not be welcomed or wanted.
Well Arms is most likely going to gem str, and that's most likely the route I'm going to go during progression.
Hey Rustynip beautiful guide very informative even for newbie like me
Now let me introduce myself im Kaelix i decide to make my warrior main in MoP (i reroll every expansion its a little habit of mine ) i intent to play Furry 2h or 1h don't know yet didn't decide yet ,now i don't want to look like im a slacker hell im on PTR now testing my warrior BUT im a totally retard when it come to that Framework i have some questions for u hope u have the times to answer
Now what i understood from your Framework is this our priority list is around Bloodthirst and Colossus Smash not only because they generate rage and cost nothing but the crit pro Enrage (that increase our dmg and let us use Raging Blow) everything is easy till here.
Here is my questions
Now if i understand correctly its like this Bloodthrist-GCD-GCD-Bloodthrist the filler priority list is Colossus Smash>Raging Blow>Dragon Roar> Bloodsurge proc>Wild Strike correct?
About Bloodsurge let say i don't have time to use all 3 procs before Bloodthrist is ready what's the best say to do it? Use all 3 procs then Bloodthrist or use how many i can and use Bloodthrist on CD
About Berserker Rage it make us enrage and that's good now lets say that Colossus Smash or Bloodthrist have 1 sec on cd and in the same time our enrage have 1 sec aswell do we use Berserker Rage or we wait for Bloodthrist or Colossus Smash?
This is what i don't understand ( Heroic Strike is our off GCD ability that should be used in times of excess rage to keep from capping.) Heroic Strike is hitting so LOW i understand that its off GCD but its really worth it? Why not use Wild Strike and when do u fell its the best time to use it around 70-80+rage?
Last 2 question
If i understand correctly under 20% i just replace 2 fillers with Execute it will look something like this Bloodthrist-Colossus Smash-Execute-Bloodthrist-Execute-Execute ? Now what about Bloodsurge proc Dragon Roar and Raging Blow
About Heroic Leap i understand that its free dmg but every time i try to use it i need to jump to far from my target, can u tell me if there is a macro that can let u jump where u are or im just to dumb and i really don't know how to use it not only that but on PTR i have so much rage do we really have time to use Heroic Leap aswell in our single target rotation
Thanks i hope u want and have time to answer my questions again im not a slacker but because i got use to much with my casters, as a warrior i fell that there are to many spells available and that get me confuse
Sorry about my English as is not my first language

So fury stacks crit, agi, and should use daggers right?
I don't understand what you're saying about agility, am I suppose to use it? Is it specifically bad for me, am I hurting myself by taking necks and rings with agi and crit in an attempt to get more dps?
Agi is bad. The only reason that you gem mainly for crit instead of Str as far as I know is that the secondary stat gems give double what the primary stat gems give (320 crit vs 160 str).

FIRE GIVES ME BIGGER BLOOD SHIELDS
It depends. If you're inside a Colossus Smash debuff your priority is: RB>Bloodsurge>WS>Dragon Roar but if you're not inside a CS its: CS>RB>Bloodsurge>Dragon Roar>WS
I've been going over this same question in my head a lot and I've seen different answers from different people but I'm going to tell you what I do. Delay your BT and use up all three Bloodsurge procs. Here's why: BT is your only ability that can proc Bloodsurge and it cannot stack. This means that you cannot retrigger it with a BT that was used while the buff is still active so it seems more beneficial (to me at least) to consume all uses of it, then hit BT to have a chance at another proc.About Bloodsurge let say i don't have time to use all 3 procs before Bloodthrist is ready what's the best say to do it? Use all 3 procs then Bloodthrist or use how many i can and use Bloodthrist on CD
If both BT and CS are about to come off CD, wait on using Berserker Rage because there's a decent chance that either of your two abilities will proc enrage.About Berserker Rage it make us enrage and that's good now lets say that Colossus Smash or Bloodthrist have 1 sec on cd and in the same time our enrage have 1 sec aswell do we use Berserker Rage or we wait for Bloodthrist or Colossus Smash?
HS hits are pretty low but that's why I really only use them inside of the CS debuff. If you take the glyph of Unending Rage, it'll increase your rage cap to 120 total rage. This will help a bit with pooling your rage, but I would suggest that you use CS around 100 rage or so to keep from capping just long enough for CS to come off CD. Wild Strike is good to keep rage down, but without a Bloodsurge proc, its pretty expensive (30 rage) and can rage dump you pretty quick. This is probably one of the trickiest parts just because you have to get a feel for your rage generation at that current time and be mindful of when your swing timer is going to go off and factor in that rage gain.
The inital rage dump (ideally from 120 rage to ~0 rage) should look like: CS-Execute-Execute-Execute-Execute.. Continue to Execute as long as rage allows, especially in the beginning while your CDs are rolling. BT then becomes your primary rage gain with the original BT-Filler-Filler-BT rotation. You're going to want to use RB(if you should find yourself with BT on cooldown and not enough rage to Execute) purely because it does more dps than a Bloodsurge proc. You are pretty much going to ignore them sub 20%. Dragon Roar can be used the same way as RB since it doesn't actually cost any rage and does a decent amount of DPS.Last 2 question
If i understand correctly under 20% i just replace 2 fillers with Execute it will look something like this Bloodthrist-Colossus Smash-Execute-Bloodthrist-Execute-Execute ? Now what about Bloodsurge proc Dragon Roar and Raging Blow?
Well Heroic Leap is another ability that is off the GCD and it costs no rage BUT it is kind of difficult to use between abilities. There's an 8 yard minimum range to use it so you're going to want to position yourself to one side of the boss's back and and leap to the other so that you're still in range (or close to it) of the boss. Since I found that pressing the button then clicking on the ground to be inefficient when doing it between globals so I made a mouse macro with the software that came with my mouse (Razer Naga) to automatically simulate a left click after I press my Heroic Leap button. Most gaming mice have this capability. This allows me to hover my mouse over some part of the ground and just press one button to heroic leap.About Heroic Leap i understand that its free dmg but every time i try to use it i need to jump to far from my target, can u tell me if there is a macro that can let u jump where u are or im just to dumb and i really don't know how to use it not only that but on PTR i have so much rage do we really have time to use Heroic Leap aswell in our single target rotation
These questions are actually really great and very constructive. Thank you for asking them because they definitely do help out the people reading through and I'll be fixing the guide to reflect my answers
Did you forget that Heroic Throw Resets the swing timer? You have it listed in the rotation sub 20%. It should never be used standing that close to the boss.
As for the stance sellection... Will it be battle when no raid damage and berserker if there is incoming raid damage? Meaning that we need to change stance according to the fights mechanics?
Berserker is 1 rage point for every 1% hp lost. Specially as Fury I don't ever see you dpsing in Berserker since the incoming damage would have to be huge to outweight the extra rage on swings.
For big hits and specially moments where you don't have something to wack, like Hour of Twilight, Twilight Onslaught, Hagara's lightning phase, Ragnaros transitions, etc, it is okay to pop into zerker. However, for progression, me personally would rather go Defensive, take less damage and get 1 rage every 3 sec.
Cairne wanted to thank him again, to offer encouragement, praise for a task so successfully completed. For being able to bear such burdens. But Saurfang was an orc, not a blood elf, and lavish compliments and effusion would not be welcomed or wanted.
Hey, thanks for the guide!
I'm not sure if this question is off-topic but looking to tomorrow with the new talents coming out will TG be the way to go for dps? I am asking not from a pure-dps pov, but rather from an off-spec. In our raid team I handle off-tanking opposite a blood dk, originally I had always been TG offspec but due to loosing a couple dps I switched to arms for the superior aoe/cleave ability on H-Zon and H-Madness. When I'm not raiding I always switch back to fury since I prefer the spec, with these changes do you think arms will still be superior on these fights? Or will Fury be perfectly comparable?
Cheers,
Rusty, I have a question to ask about Berserker Rage and its synchronization with Dragon Roar.
Since DR is physical damage, and has double the CD of BR, shouldn't BR be used on cooldown along with DR, so as to boost DR's damage, and couple that with a CS?
That is,
BT>BR+DR>CS>RB>BT
30s later
BT>BR>CS>DR>BT
30s later
BT>BR+DR>CS>RB>BT
Of course, I wouldn't press BR after that BT if BT already Enraged me. However there pops the question whether I should delay using BR till the next 30s set, so that I can use BR once again with DR when DR comes off cooldown.
I was using this setup on the PTR(Since I don't have access to the beta), and it seems to work like clockwork. Perhaps my results are a bit skewed because I don't use CS before BR in these examples, so I should probably try doing that before I come to a proper conclusion. However the question still stands : Should I use BR on cooldown along with DR so that I am able to use DR when I'm enraged, however care should be taken to ensure that BR is not used needlessly if BT/CS were to proc Enrage.
Also I see that you hold Bloodsurge WS(WS*) as higher priority than DR. How is this so?
Agility is bad but crit is the most important stat for fury warriors because we need to maximize the time we're enraged. As a fury everything is based around being enraged. Our good DPS skills can only be used while enraged and our mastery is only "on" when enraged.
Strength is still very good but not as good as being enraged. As for gems it's the same. You want to take some with crit to maximize the enrage uptime. There isn't a mismatch between gems with primary and secondary stats because 160 strength equals 320 attack power (secondary stat) and secondary stat gems have also 320 of secondary stat.
Yes, we will be changing stances but definitely not as often as Arms does on live. The only time when we will be going to Berserker is when there is a period of high raid damage going out that will yield more rage than Battle Stance. Defensive stance can be used in conjunction with defensive CDs to reduce damage taken even more.
I'm not 100% sure on which spec is going to be the best but from everything I've seen: TG is looking good, as is arms. Personally, I'm going TG but in reality you can probably do whatever you want since DS is at a 30% buff anyways.
Fury's regen at around 7.5% hit is great. There still is a high hard hit cap for dual wielding but its not worth getting because our regen is balanced as is.

Don't change your rotation around using BR. BR is there in case your BT and CS don't enrage you. If you're coming to the point in your rotation where you are going to use Dragon Roar and you are already Enraged, don't hit BR. But if CS and BT are on cool down and you're not Enraged, then use BR before your Dragon Roar.

For MoP? SMF is simming ahead of TG in BiS gear but they're about even in normal mode gear. Haven't paid attention at all to the new prepatch difference between the two.
