A bit, but nothing major. I just don't get excited by game releases. But then again, this is the first game I've actually bought on release (if you don't count expansion packs that is), so I guess you could say I'm more excited about this than other games.
Playing some TERA until it starts..but man, that game is just a joke. They released BGs yesterday and they keep crashing. So they had a small maintenance today, after it they keep crashing. Also GW2 feels so much smoother and balanced when it comes to PvP. I will probably never touch TERA again after tomorrow.
Absolutely can't wait, I've managed to adjust my sleeping pattern so I can wake up at 5:00am with friends to play the game!
Im excited but I am also, as I am with any game, realistic. Its a fantastic game and I can't wait to play it but I dont expect it to cure cancer, be the best game ever made and change the gaming world over night, don't expect it to be bug free, do expect log in issues and other infrequent issues related to any MMO that opens and in general keep in mind its just a freaking game and all I have to do is....
Sit back and enjoy it, done, period.
Very excited, because now it's finally time to get together with dozens of old wow-friends. We've been planning this "reunion" for about 18 months or so.
Very I'm pretty sure there are people voting that are far more excited than "very" though, missing a couple of options like "extremely" and "can hardly breathe" lol
from a reddit user
'Twas the Night before Launch Day, when all through the guild
not a member was posting, their yearnings fulfilled.
Their patchers lay open and all up-to-date,
Come morrow was launch day, the end of the wait.
*
The servers hummed softly, the hamsters asleep.
Their wheels all lay idle, not making a peep.
While upstairs the programmers worked long through the night,
A new bug had emerged causing all a great fright.
~
As the devs made last edits, debugging their code
Their baby was ready, and started to upload.
Into the world, they would soon send their game
So in Tyria, players could seek fortune and fame.
*
Then as the hour, slowly drew near
From Mumble there erupted such a great cheer!
"The servers are up! It's time now to play!"
Guild Wars 2 for all and to all Happy Launch Day!
Thankyou Arenanet for all your hard work. I can't remember ever being as excited for a game.

I don't even have confidence in Blizzard to deliver anymore after the debacle that was Cata and D3. My expectations for any game have tanked tremendously. I used to think I could at least rely on Bioware to come through for me and considered any release a guaranteed purchase first day. Now between DA2, ME3, and SWTOR that's shattered too. I've learned to temper any expectations and understand every single software title is simply a tool to make greedy game publishers money. They'll do it any way they can with bug ridden forced launch dates or even completely unfinished products with the intention to sell the rest as DLC in the future.
The old school labors of love and innovation are a dying breed. Where the game developer had full control of their product. As we expect more and more production value and "oo shineys" in our games, it's just become a who can create the biggest Michael Bay bang for our buck. And game producers expect those explosions to pay massive dividends. If it doesn't they will do anything and everything to alter the title, regardless of the screams of the developer. It's all about the money, which it always was but now more so than ever with game budgets sky rocketing. Everyone would do well to recognize this before buying the hype being sold.

Like nemro82 said - I was more excited for Swtor. I enjoyed it for about 3 months before I finally cancelled my subscription. I pre-ordered GW2 the day it became available, and was very disappointed with my experience on the first beta weekend. Yeah, I know. It was beta. That's what everyone is reassuring me about. So I didn't touch any of the other beta weekends, with the hope that the launch experience would be fresh and interesting.
I hope it will be. I have cleared my calendar. The wife and the kids will be out (Since it launches at 2pm tomorrow for Australia, East Coast) and I have taken care of short term responsibilities that need addressing. I have a feeling though, that my experience will mirror that of the beta, and I'll just be left with a massive feeling of being underwhelmed.
Have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV? With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime?
I've played in all the betas. I'm excited because I know Anet has delivered on a quality product.
Anet delivered pretty solid games in all of their Guild Wars launches.
They also made all their games mostly free of the pointless, boring time-consuming crap you see in games like WoW.
They made their UI fully customizable.
Every single item in the game had a purpose.
They allowed you to dismantle the useful stuff out of one item to give it to another and get crafting materials out of items that have no useful stuff; instead of forcing you to play the casino with drops 100% of the time like you do in any MMO out there.
While at first you had to get the "core" bonus, they soon added the "inscriptions" as salvageable "core bonuses".
All of that has always shown me that there is an awesome mentality behind Anet, and gives me hope.

Why did you create a new thread? Use the search function and post in existing threads!
Why did you necro a thread?
question: if I prepurchase now, will I still get in tomorrow?
VERY excited. I'm hoping this day would end already. Will go to bed as soon as I can
I would bet that you will be able to purchase and play any day up to and including the 28th. Each day after the 25th simply shortening the early access of course. I could be wrong but I would be surprised to see it go any other way as technically any day before the 28th that you purchase the game is a prepurchase.question: if I prepurchase now, will I still get in tomorrow?
I've seen the screenshots and I see nothing to be excited about to be honest. I did order the collectors edition but I do that with any new MMO coming out on the market. I'll probably give it a shot for 2-3 hours and then decide that it's not as good as WoW most likely.
I am worried that there might be more "kiddies" in this game than in wow because guild wars 2 is free to play. That concerns me quite a bit.
