Same number as any other chapter, 1000 marines according to the Codex Astartes, I know this because Ultramarines were my first chapter and hold a special place in my heart.

I'm saying as a whole with all the successor chapters, they're the most numerous. It might be 40K not 30K anymore, but in my mind, I still work with Legions and I usually blend the successor chapters with the progenitor. I mean USUALLY (except for a couple cases, and especially with Ultramarines) the main difference is the color of the armor. Most Ultramarine chapters are very similar to another.

Don't they also have the most amount of successor/second founding chapters in official canon? Mainly due to Codex Astartes being formed byu their Primarch so they went out of their way to follow it.

On WH40k wiki, they have 24 "official" successor chapters, which is quite a lot :P Blood angels for example only have 13.

Yes, but successor chapters show no loyalty those that fathered them, their faith is to the Emperor alone.

That's because their Primarch created the COdex Astartes, the "Holy Bible" for all Space Marines regarding force composition, structure and whatnot. Also, as Roboute Guilliman was, well, kind of anally retentive about that kind of stuff, it makes perfect sense his successor chapters do also.
Eg, I think the successor chapters of White Scars all make use of fast attack and rapid strikes, they are all just basically copies of their original chapter with some added flavour thrown in (Eg, Blood Drinkers being psychotic lunatics who are more prone to Black Rage).
I always think of Ultramarines as the "Vanilla Space Marines", nothing special, nor fancy, but they get the job done. They are excellent in all forms of warfare but don't really specialise, unlike say Space Wolves or Imperial Fists.

Yeh, I know what you mean. I just mean in the way that from a GW pov, they can allow players to create their *own* chapter and use basic troop setups without them seeming out of place. As I said, Ultramarines are your "vanilla" Space Marines, excellent at everything but not really specialising.

For this very reason they are less prone to falling to Chaos and corruption when compared to other chapters, boring but reliable.

Salamanders, White Scars, Imperial Fists are also not very prone to falling to chaos, and they're much fluffier!

Someone needs to be the opposite of the bronies, even if they do outnumber us thousands to 1. Kinda like the IG and Space marines I guess, the Bronies are the cannon fodder.

The bronies are almost as terrifying as the tyranids.

They could have caused untold damage, they could have disappeared, they could have died in a senseless shock... I wish there were two more primarchs but I do like the idea of the names being expunged.

I know its "fan fiction" but i always like to think that one of the primarchs was a A+ grade pariah.

Nah, Tyranids have a hive mind hell bent on killing as efficiently as possible. Whereas bronies will attack each other over which pony is best, bronies are like nerdy Orks. One side worships a pony that is cute and cuddly, the other side worships one that is cuddly and cute. They will war over it.

An easier way is to get them to fight among themselves like the Orks do. Make a fake account with a brony avatar, head over to the brony super thread and say flutterhooves or whoever is best pony, then just sit back and watch them go nuts. Rinse and repeat a few dozen times using different ponies and it is game over man, game over. No need to exterminatus from orbit.

Ever read the fluff suggesting the "Hive Mind" is actually one of the C'Tan called "The Outsider"? Possibly the most powerful being in existence, and it's hinted that the Tyranid might be involved with him somehow. If that's correct...well...fook.

It's why I love the Necron's, completely self-sufficient and the most powerful race in WH40k, bar none. Even more powerful than Chaos, as if they achieve their goal and obliterate all life from the Universe, then Chaos becomes completely powerless (needing souls and whatnot), and as the Necron's don't have any...well.

Even so, I think against MLP, the might come undone. Like the Old Ones, perhaps the ponies were some horrific super weapon created should the Necron's ever return...

What scares me more is the theory that the hive mind is fleeing something even more dangerous, something that scares the Tyranids. Maybe a splinter of the hive absorbed a brony, it lost control and went pony mad! That would explain it all, the Tyranids are fleeing a 4chan meme inspired SUPER BRONY HIVE!
