So lately we have been getting some quotes that are teasers for the next set, this one is quite interesting as some believe it is Kiora Atua.

While I too would believe it is Kiora, it is not certain. There's an important legendary merfolk mentioned in the planeswalker's guide to theros!

Well well, if it isn't indeed kiora atua. Now we only need dack fayden :P

However, two starting loyalty and 4 CMC with only a +1 first ability ;/ that immediately makes it unplayable in modern.

Might work in standard, though...

She has a shot in Standard, but I can't imagine more than a 1 or 2 in even some decks, maybe she will be better after rotation.

As the title says this is the Magic: the Gathering thread about the greatest card game of all time (more of a selling point for the thread rather than a true statement, but it is sort of like opinion.)

So if you enjoy the game we can talk about whatever that is about the game. Standard, Commander (EDH), Legacy, Modern, random cards, decks, and everything else for the game.

MTG lost its appeal at around 2003 when they did the same mistake as Blizz did now with MoP: they took it as their goal to please Pokemon kids.

Really, 2003? :P

Things that didn't exist in 2003:

- Legacy as a format.
- The final reorganization of creature types
- The proper determination of color identities according to pairs and ally colored triplets
- DOTP

I could go on, but it's a bit pointless. 2003 is totally arbitrary. While yes, we had just seen two straight awesome seasons of standard at that point, that isn't enough to choose that year as the threshold between good and bad. NWO is much more recent, abandoning the old stories is much more recent, removing standard "unfun" strategies is much more recent, I don't even know what you are referring to. Can you be a bit more specific or at least substantiate WHY 2003 was "the year" ?

That is a fair complaint, but she will only die to shock if you -1 her.

Looks like we have ourselves possible spoilers. As of now only a couple of them are more or less confirmed.

- A legendary blue Kraken that makes a 9/9 Kraken when it deals combat damage to a player. The name was not given.

- A legendary minotaur that makes an opponent discard two cards at random.

- Ferocious Charge was on the list.

- Mogis, God of Violence is a card.

- A black Day of Judgment.

- A legendary land that taps for colorless and can pay two mana of any color to return an enchantment from your graveyard to your hand (or top of library?) I think this was rare.

Okay, I need clarification on the ability suspend. I stopped playing MTG during Ice Age, and recently picked it back up again so I have little, to no, experience playing against some of the new (to me) abilities out there.

Basically when a sorcery is exiled for it's suspend cost (once the last time counter is removed and the spell is put on the stack), when the stack resolves the sorcery would go to the graveyard, right?

Why unfortunately? We have seen them in every color, although they have never been solely white.
