    Constitution Day

    225 years ago, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created.

    "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

    I'll take it your history class skipped the 8 years when the USA was governed under the Articles of Confederation? The union of the time was rather decidedly imperfect, hence the creation of the current constitution.

    we the people wrote this 225 years ago so it has little relevance to todays world 0o

    ps. no idea what this constitution/ constitution day is :S

    We're not a perfect country, but that's a very impressive document to stand the test of time this long. Amended, sure, never thrown out.
