Well.....at first even TF2 is pretty frustrating, and I see that one as rather beginner-friendly.
So, that's just natural.
And I gotta admit that it's pretty easy to die in larger battles due to random things flying in your general direction.

I try to get away from the mayor zerg and get some smaller objectives done, like destroying / protecting a generator or so.
There's usually less annoying "10 guys doing mag-dumps into a doorway" situations then in the big main battle areas.

TF2 seems like it'd be easier to me too, but I haven't tried it yet. I'd probably just turret spam like a tard.

Well I have capped a couple of smaller stations solo :P so it's not like I feel COMPLETELY useless. Now on the plus side I'll give them this, my pc is nowhere near awesome and yet it runs med settings really well. The game is gorgeous even at med. On the bad side, half the players are idiotic teamkillers. We're not talking shooting you when there's an enemy on the other side, that I've actually done and understand. we're talking killing you when there's NO ONE ELSE AROUND. IN YOUR OWN BASE, *grumbles*

I would say soldier is a good starting class in TF2. He is pretty much the definition of "easy to pick up, difficult to master".

All of them are pretty much easy to start out with.
Well maybe Demo can be tricky.
Rest of them ... no problem though.
