Okay. Guys. Guys. What if The Bible was right about the beginning of man and the Garden of Eden. With that in mind, think about this: What if humans didn't originally require food to live. In actuality, it was Eve's eating of the Apple from the Garden of Eden that screwed with her (and subsequently Adam and the rest of the human race) DNA that actually made her physically and psychologically addicted to food. And food, in of itself, is actually poisonous to people and is why humans only live a short lifespan, and if someone were able to drop the addiction to it, they would essentially be immortal. The problem is, the withdrawal effects are fatal.
What if the thing we "survive" on is only because the withdrawal effects of not having it would kill us faster than having it does.
