It was the best email ever.

It's easier, in my opinion, for a woman to be able to accept things on her own terms if she can read them at her own pace, rather than being forced to deal with them in the moment. For instance, I'm sure the look of surprise as I read the email might not have had quite the impression that I wanted to convey once I actually came to grips with what was being said.

It also allowed me time to evaluate my own feelings and decide on a plan, rather than feeling obligated to come up with a response right away.

    But, your mileage may vary.
Face to face is so much more complex than chatting

I see where you are coming from. I would like for her to know my whole feelings but I think it's kind of . . . rude? I guess rude could be used. I think it would be kind of rude to just give her a note instead of just actually saying it. But I guess it depends completely on the person.

Which is what I'm arguing for. Not being disapointed is what I aim for.
Yeah I agree. 4-5 people in a group allows everyone to participate in the group, and not break apart into other groups, and less people is a bit boring. Unless you want to be with only like one or two other friends.

Just make a deal with them that you'll call them every evening to tell them that you're okay and all.

Yeah. That would cost me a lot of money i'm sure. And that's money I don't have, and would probably spend it much better on something else, like college fund or something.

At which point you'll take them and go lock yourself in your room for 3+ days.
