I have one on my priest and I was the 2nd to get it.
Also, you got Atiesh from Naxx not AQ40. The only piece from AQ was off of Oruo

Most, possibly all it has been many years, dropped in AQ 20.
You played vanilla if...
a) You were one of the thousands of dead skeletons inside Black Rock Mountain
b) You had completed the Onyxia key quest chain
c) You paid gold to make your Scholomance Key
d) You remember Stratholme, Scholomance, Black Rock Depths, Upper and Lower Black Rock Spire being 10-15 man groups.
e) You remember contribution points from combat in Hillsbrad during the South Shore vs Tauren Mill push and pull combat.
f) YOU WERE AT the opening of Ahn Quraj Gates
g) You remember the Trolls White Raptor
h) You would kill for a Zandalari Hero Charm
i) You partook in "The Shadow of the Necropolis" Scourge Invasion 1.0
j) You remember Horde had Shamans, and Alliance had Bubble Hearth, I mean Paladins
k) You remember Azeroth before Battlegrounds, Mauradon, Dire Maul
l) You fought the 3 Green Drakes, Azeragos, and/or Kazzak
m) Your Gnomish Death Ray and Shrinking Ray were devastating in PvP
n) As a Rogue, you could stealth into Orgrimmar/Ironforge and use a Gnomish Mind Control cap to take control of a member of the opposite faction, and have them attack their flight master, for fun
o) You had a piece of your Tier 0 gear ninja'd, and it upset you
p) You qued for 2-8 hours for an Alterac Valley, just to spend the next 2-16 hours in the same battle
q) You knew (for Horde) Peeling the onion was the only way to win AV because of the darn BERSERKER TROLL in the middle of AV
r) You remember Sithilus as a deadzone
s) You had no safe town/fp inside Western Plague Lands as Horde (what a terrible run back)
t) The cave on the shore of Eastern Plague Lands was empty, and Tyrion was a hermit hiding out from the world in his small house
u) You remember the battle for Darrowshire quest line
v) Gold was neigh impossible to keep (if you were a raider)
w) As a Mage you had to make raid food and water, TWO AT A TIME (or warlock shard farming)
x) ONLY THE CHOSEN could make Hand of Sulfuron/Thunderfury
y) You damn near crapped your pants when you saw your pvp opponent was in tier 2 shinies (pre AQ)
z) You had to individually fly between flight masters as there was no Point A and B, there was Point A-Z
How to tell if someone played in 'vanilla'? Call him a noob and see how long a speech he gives about being better than you.
I miss the original AV After waiting hours for a game to start - playing until 2 AM Saturday morning, getting up around 10 AM and joining right back in. Weekend long AV's were a blast, although as alliance we really got shafted with Ivus, Lokholar was significantly more powerful at that time !
Don't know if this has been mentioned already but: You played vanilla if you own Tabard of the Protector
Also, You played vanilla if you bought your epic mount and riding skill for 1000g few days before the patch that discounted the cost. (Yup, i did this since i didn't have any clue about patch notes and such back then and also 1000g was a fortune back then.)
Your a vanilla noob if you were told you could get Mail at level 40 then stand next to the mailbox yet the letters never came!
Luckily, it was 4! Kept you quite busy showing up 20 min before the raid. I had a G15 keyboard and it was worth getting banned if I did for having it just repeat that button.
I think, for anyone who got woken up at 4am for those dragons, would try to bury those memories deep!
I was able to afford my epic mount because I got the Hide of the Wild pattern from a tribute run in DM. I sold it to my not-yet-known future wife at the time. I probably should have sold it cheaper to get laid sooner but I won't lie, totally worth the wait just to have the epic mount
if you're still in an AV game that you've joined in vanilla.
That's very true, in Vanilla Bloodlust was Horde-Exclusive, because shamans were horde-only. Paladin blessigns were single-target, 5 min duration and Alliance-only.
The Horde got paladins (and their blessings, which were given "greater" versions at that time, while having 15 min duration and buffing all members of the same class) when TBC launched, just like Alliance got shamans and Heroism (Alliance version of Bloodlust).
Looking for a working online signature generator .....
You relise how shit the game was back then compared to now and never talk it up.
