Easyish to get cool flying mounts?

Hey guys

I only have a swift wind rider as i dont have the many hours to put into getting some of the rare flying mounts.

I do however want to try and get 1 that just gives me something cool other than this default mount.

So whats my best option across any expansion for en epic flyer to replace this wind rider?

Thanks for any tips as im not up to scratch on mounts!

Get exalted with your guild and get the dark phoenix mount. Very easy to get exalted now a days (Questing) and it is at least better looking then the wind riders.

If you have a level 90 toon you can work on finding all the hidden scrolls throughout Pandaria that give rep for the Lorewalkers. It takes maybe two hours to find them all and you will get a really neat Flying Disk on a Cloud mount. Great for all levels! Batteries Included!

Go to the Guild Inn in trade district. There is a vendor that sells all sorts of things with guild rep. Some are a bit pricey though.

Your guild needs to have earned the Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider achievement.

The Reins of the Dark Phoenix requires the guild achievement Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider.

It really depends on what you're willing to do to get one. There's a number of options that don't take a lot of time per day (although it may take a little while to get them total). For example:

There are several you can get from doing dailies:
Flameward Hippogryph (Molten Front dailies)
Nether Drakes (Netherwing dailies, several different colors)
Green Proto-Drake (Sholazar Basin dailies until you can buy the egg, which has a chance for the mount to drop every three days)
Cloud Serpents (Order of the Cloud Serpent dailies, several colors)
Drake of the West Wind (Tol Barad dailies)

From reputation:
Cenarion War Hippogryph (Cenarion Expedition exalted)
Red Drake (Wyrmrest Accord exalted)

From dungeons/raids that are easily soloed, although they're only a small drop chance:
Blue Proto-Drake (heroic Utgarde Pinnacle)
Bronze Drake (heroic Culling of Stratholme, always drops if you beat the time limit)
Vitreous Stone Drake (Stonecore, either mode)

From raids you may need a group for, but only take a few minutes with one:
Onyxian Drake (Onyxia, either mode)
Blue Drake (Malygos, 10-man)
Azure Drake (Malygos, either mode)
Black Drake (Sartharion, 10-man with three drakes alive, always drops)
Twilight Drake (Sartharion, 25-man with three drakes alive, always drops)

This list isn't all-inclusive, but this is what I thought of.

As long as you can do enough DPS to burn him down before the adds overwhelm you, yes. Just keep in mind that you'll be rolling against everyone else in the group that doesn't have it.

The Lorewalkers flying disc is definitely the easiest. Gotta get to level 90 first, though.

How's your Cenarion Expedition rep? Pretty easy to get exalted as you just need to blitz some low level dungeons. I think the Cenarion War Hippo looks cool, but I know some others hate it.

we went ICC10 weekly at 85, always doing sarth 25 3d before, so I guess it's even easier now if you bring people who can put out sick DPS

The easiest possible mount for you would be the Bronze Drake. Go to Caverns of Time, set to heroic 5 man dungeon difficulty, go inside the instance, talk to chromie, teleport to the dungeon, start the even, PULL EVERYTHING, slaughter, loot, get mounts.

If you have the gold and excess JP, you can buy exalted Red Drake for 1600g, and around 2-2.5k JP. go to Dalaran, talk to a vendor that trades justice for rep badges (they give 520 rep per), buy enough to get to exalted (It takes about 80) and get the drake.

Engineering has a cool flying machine mount that requires 375 skill in engie to use. If your lucky you can find one pre-made on AH for a reasonable price.

I'm a big fan of the netherwing drakes myself. Easy to obtain, awesome looking, and it's actually very uncommon to see someone using them these days.

i wanted a proto drake but they all seem fairly time consuming, i understand thats the point of them but i only get to play a little bit and prefer to pvp most of the time! was looking for one i can get solo and not have to wait a month of farming dailies!

Nether Drakes are awesome and you just need to do TBC (Netherwing) dailies. I still ride mine to this day because it just looks cool.
