Spriest looking for healing tips

I've been playing SPriest for a couple years now, and have finally decided to try my hand at healing. I've decided to take the reactive Holy spec rather than the pre-active Disc spec. A few questions came up, so i turned to the the ever so reliable Priest Forum. I saw a Disc Sticky, but no Holy post. Any help would be much appreciative. Over the weekend, i plan on grinding my way through as many heroics as possible to get used to the healing aspect. Will i be using Heal most of the time, and Greater Heal for big hitters? Do i keep PoM off CD? Is it worth shielding everyone? I'm assuming that healing is mostly situational, but any beginner advice would help before i spend the weekend letting my guildies die. thanks ahead of time fellow priesties.
