Not how it worked for this instance. In this instance, the team with a head start had ropes tied around their ankles to prevent them from running. The ankle bindings were removed when the other teams had joined the race.
Other guilds also killed the first boss quicker, making BL the quickest guild to kill 2nd to last boss stretch. By all means though, keep putting down their achievement. They're just fat American slobs anyways.
It's pretty amazing to me how thick headed some people are being over the EU vs US thing. I do believe there are reasons to say that BL got the first kill legitimately considering that no one was able to make progress until the first boss was nerfed.
Some of the EU defenders/players in this thread are acting embarrassingly immature about it. (Not that there aren't immature US defenders/players in this thread)

Not to sound jealous, but Blood Legion in their interview mentions raiding 14-18 hours a day from the start of heart of fear till they got their empress kill. How can any guild compete with that? Do all the top end guilds really raid that much? I can't see any of the other top 10 guilds doing that besides maybe method and paragon. How exactly is the world first race fair when only 1 (maybe 2 more) guild is able to do that considering when bosses are killable in the first few hours, it simply comes down to who spends the most time in that small time frame on it.
