Never had any problems earning gold
Yes, early BC for a mount. I was a newb that had no clue how to make gold and was tired of running :/
pre-paid credit cards. Just put the amount you want on it. I've done that to get friends and guildies wow time or let them use the card to purchase the Limited Edition version of wow in exchange for gold. I'm thinking about buying gold as right now my guild is raiding 4 nights a week for 3 hours. 1.4k gold in Flasks alone a week. Add in potions and the fact I've no alts/gathering professions, it kind of sucks.
Nope, personally never had a problem making large quantities of gold in WoW, never really understood the motivation to buy gold with real money since I never found myself short.
i have never bought gold in my life though i once sold gold to my friend for a case of beer lol
5k for a 30 pack god i was desperate back then LOL the shops was shut what was a man to do
In the past yes, they also aren't going to steal your account if you use a different email address to that of your Bnet etc (from my own experience)
Never bought gold, but i have sold a significant amount of gold in the past. I have a friend who likes to buy whatever i cannot spend. With the BMAH in the game i don't think i'll be selling any of my gold now though.
I'll admit I've bought gold a few times, once for epic flying training and once to max out crafting professions in WOTLK. Never would do it again though, I still regret doing it now I see how easy you can make gold with a bit of effort.
I am always buying gold. But lol at people bashing people that do... If you work for an hour an make 10-30 euro why waste 1 hour of my life to farm like 1k g? when i can buy 100k? Everything else that raiding or pvp in Wow means that you have spare time in your hands and you should probably be doing something more creative. Unless you are <20 years old.
Nope.
Never would.
It's easy to make money, but I don't have a need for it.
One of my guilds ex-officers somehow always has a heap of gold, and sells it to players in the guild, but I'd never do it.
We stopped searching for monsters under our beds when we realized that they were inside us.
Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?
No but my last GM did/dose around 30k at a time and i warned him.
He also has already had his account flagged by blizzard to be a gold buyer he was talking to me over vent about it. "He got a email from blizzard and they said they know hes been buying gold aka account flagged to be known as a gold buyer"
Check me out....Im └(-.-)┘┌(-.-)┘┌(-.-)┐└(-.-)┐ Dancing, Im └(-.-)┘┌(-.-)┘┌(-.-)┐└(-.-)┐ Dancing.

I bought gold once. During TBC, 400g for riding skills . Never again after that. It's not really needed.
I'll admit that I was thinking to buy gold at some point because I didn't want to spend the time farming. But if you look at the prices of gold I thought it was not worth it. 25-30 euros for 20k or something? Don't know the exact prices. But what is 20k nowadays? I would have to pay 50 euros or something for a darkmoon trinket, F that.
I got plenty to enchant my gear etc. And you also have the chance to get banned and lose your gold or that your account gets compromised.
Sort of, sold a game time card to guildie in exchange for some gold. Not gold buying per se, from chinese farmer sites, no major risk involved.
TCG mounts could be treated in same way of "buying gold" because technically it is buying gold. People ebay loot card for sizable cash then sell it in game for large amount of gold.
Never used goldseller sites tho.
Yes i have, most of it was in TBC to pay for my epic flying on 3chars, NO WAY i could afford 15k at lvl 70 ^^
Been also to pay for when i needed to change proff on main and had to power lvl it to max in like 2 days, havnt bought any since.
Bought a total of 50k

I started playing WoW around 1.2 and was a very casual player who mainly played it as a form of socialisation. I was big into IRC in years past and this seemed like a new alternative to chat with folk around the world. By the time I started raiding and really getting into gearing and DPS and add-ons, etc. I had pretty much missed all chance at seeing all the big content and started to feel left behind. Everyone had cool mounts and were covered in epics and had all the rare enchants, etc. and I was just excited to finally have downed Hakkar.
It was at this point that I bought WoW gold in order to 'catch up'. At the time I didn't think anything of it but after about the third time I bought gold, I started to realise just how pointless and stupid it was to spend money on a resource in a game. It just defeats the entire point of playing. I remember watching my nephew play WoW on a private server where he was level 100 or something and had every epic in the game and maximum gold and one-shot bosses. And I asked him, "Why do you even bother playing?" Even he didn't know.
Haven't bought gold since. I also no longer use cheat-codes in any games I play. I just figure that if I want to cheat that bad, then there's really no point in playing the game anymore.
"Once you stop caring what an arrogant, ignorant, idiotic little twat somewhere half-way across the world in a mouldy little basement with his mother yelling down at him to get off his arse and get a job is saying on the internet, you will find an immense calm overcome you. Suddenly the world will seem a brighter place and your mood will improve immediately."
Right now i find it easier to make real money than gold (timewise) so yes i prefer to buy gold
