Sorry if this is a stupid question, just came back to Rift after many months, does the storm queen 5 man vanish when the expansion is released? I managed to get all the costume pieces except the chest on my newly 50 cleric, and haven't had any luck queuing for it as DPS.

I may log on my mage and try get slightly better gear if possible, I'm running in full epic (plaque epics) would that be sufficient for levelling at a decent speed?

Don't bother to hunt gear now. Unless you are running in ID gear, it'll all be replaced before you get to the end of the first zone. And getting like one or two upgrades before tomorrow won't make any difference

You'll be fine all the story quest gear will replace what you have. Just don't be insane and pull huge packs at a time until you've got a decent amount of gear.
