Simcrafts gone crazy again?

Even with my Professions bonuses manually added to N BiS, it's still only 10900 DPS more than my current setup. My gear isn't OMG WTF either, so is SimCraft just bugged again or is my gear that good? Last time I ran SimC 5.05 r6 before I got the 489 off hand (was 476) I was like 7-8k DPS lower than this result.

I want Landsoul to stop optimizing his spreadsheet and just release it, I don't care if every run takes 5 minutes, SimCraft is so annoying and tempermental.

You said N BiS though... so Normal mode BiS? If you mean heroic, then it's completely wrong. Normal BiS includes tier bonuses though. Seem's pretty inaccurate - Requiel has a nice spreadsheet out.

No, I simmed it with DR, not bladestorm.

Reason why is I want to decide what weapons to pass on and what weapons to snap up, from N HoF/ToES and H MSV 3 easiest bosses. So far it seems like N Jaws w/ Sha touched gem and the extra prismatic socket and N Scimi are winning out or even with H Ele and N Jaws because I am a human.

simming your profile with no race and no profession perks(gems, inscriptions) gives me 85673k dps (for your 486 ilevel setup). T14N Bis has 99533 dps and has a 494 ilevel setup. What are you expecting of 8 item levels?

Both bonuses are ~ 2k dps each on a 14N gear level.


you can check this for yourself by setting tier14_2pc_melee=0, etc..

Berth is right, that's the bonus from 4 piece.

What you must keep in mind though, is a fight like Spirit Kings.
If you get an extra Recklessness + Execute phase, you'll see more of a bonus.

It allows more CD stacking for savvy wars.

It's not just about the value of the bonus though, some offpieces are much better itemized than tier, for example Galleon helmet vs tier and Garalon chest vs tier and Ambershaper (hell, even Golden Lotus) shoulders vs tier. If you aren't getting in to heroics or N Sha of fear any time soon, the Galleon head would be better as offpiece than the LFR head I think, at least for 2 piece.

I did the math and 2p was between 1.7%-4% DPS increase, depending on fight.

Well the math is very easy if bloodthirst is 6,8-16% of your dps the 2set bonus will be a 1,7-4% dps increase. Seems a rather large spread for the bloodthirst damage though, should be able to get a more accurate number then that.

Bloodthirst is 6-8 percent of my damage. No way would it be a 4 percent increase overall.
