Because it isn't free for them? It actually costs money for them to make the content, so the least you could do is watch a 20 second ad. (Hell you don't even have to watch it, just tab out or something.)

Even for those that it's not, it's still nice to support the people who create the videos you love, especially since lots of those videos (as pointed out by holz) DOES take actual money for them to produce. Hell, you don't even have to watch the entire ad, just don't have adblock on.
