I think the non shopped version is the same pony who was playing the violin during the halloween special. I always just took that as Octavia's halloween costume. My headcanon is very confused right now.

Well, it was probaly because they probaly wanted to use Octavia on a violin. But it would feel out of place in a episode full of "southerners", so they did a recolor. Am I complaining? Heck no, I like the shoutout.

Nah but I studied the language for a few years, visited there once. Der König der Löwen is the only non-English Disney movie I've watched (since The Lion King is my favorite) and I quite liked it. I'll sometimes be singing one of the songs and just randomly switch between English and German.
