Which brings up another point. How far will they go technology-wise? It seems they only use electronic devices when it's convenient to the story. But how far will they go with that? The anime I'm watching has that kind of ambiguous "well, what time period is this anyway" kind of feel.

Well, bullets have been around a long long time, so technologically speaking, it's not that advanced. It just has a deeper connection to the real world, because of how unnecessary the item is in their world. Assuming you read anything into it at all. There are obvious references everywhere that wouldn't make sense in the context of their universe. Like "et tu, Gabby Gums"

Irl I'd go EI too, but ingame I prefer GT.
Techs cost too much and Eco stuff needs too much space. I prefer my things to be efficient. ^^

Overall, the movie is good. Better than the second one, for certain. The London circus scene and any scene with Chantal Dubois is gold. The rest is alright, but could be improved upon.

I thought about that. Even if they don't know/use electricity and it's all powered by magic, they still need to know circuitry in order to channel the magic where they need it to go. Even if it's only basic circuitry.

The third one are the tech guys, they don't really care about the environment, but aren't as destructive as well. They need underwater buildings though and e.g. their things tend to be really expensive.
E.g. a town square thingy costs 300 for the tycoons and 2000 for the techs.
Same with the "activity" building: Casino? 300 Research lab? 5k.
