Nah, he quite liked the first CoD: Modern Warfare, and he likes No More Heroes as well.

I just don't know why he ever bothers to review games he hates the genres of.

Because people pester him. He usually prefaces these reviews specifically this way. "I'm doing this review to shut you the fuck up, even though I hate this genre to the core of my very soul" is the gist of it.

There is a difference between hating a game, and having nothing bad to say about it, though. Like I said, he liked CoD: MW and No More Heroes, even with their flaws. He's had a few other overall positive reviews. Portal is the only game he likes without any major caveats, though.
